The Lord of the Thundercats Unplugged

Essay 2: Lion-O: The Fighting Machine

Snarfer and I have taken upon ourselves the task of defining Lion-O as a warrior.
This was actually more difficult than it sounds, because Lynx-O and I disagreed on what each picture portrayed.  He would use the Braille board to "see" the image while I just looked at it.  As a result, we saw entirely different things, snarfer, snarfer.
But despite our disagreements, we have managed to put together some coherent information that should prove useful to the reader.  As for differing opinions, to each his own.  Personally, I don't think Snarfer was giving Lion-O enough credit.
And I know that Lynx-O was too generous.
And with this small introduction now behind us, we'll continue to the actual photographic essay.

Before doing anything else in battle, Lion-O usually reaches for his Sword.
That's because the Sword is his main weapon.
Thank you, Snarfer.
And with it, he's saved other Thundercats.  That's a pretty good thing.
Very observant.

Sometimes Lion-O tries to talk his way out of a situation before he starts to fight.
These attempts are usually fruitless for two reasons.  1: Our enemies are bent on completely destroying us.  2: Lion-O has no diplomatic skills to speak of.
He's not that bad at diplomacy, is he?
Lion-O can think and act at a moment's notice.  But if the moment calls for a quick speech, he fails miserably.  I believe that what he does is referred to as "smarm."
Smarm.  No, I think that's what Tygra does, actually...

Here's Lion-O charging in for the attack.
Uh, Lynx-O?  Why is the Sword behind him?
If he falls on the Sword while running, that could be rather disastorous.  It's like running with scissors.
Oh.  I've never really looked at scissors and the Sword of Omens as being similar.  But shouldn't Lion-O have the Sword in front of him to attack with?
Perhaps he plans to throw it.
Oh yeah.  Looks like he's playing a game of horseshoes.

This is Lion-O as he takes a mighty swing.
The Sword appears to be bending.  That can't be good for it. What if that happened in a real crisis?
I believe Jaga would appear and instruct Lion-O on the proper proceedure should the Sword ever "bend" in battle.

Here, Lion-O takes a mighty swing with his left arm.
And the Claw Shield isn't even bending.  His left arm must not be as strong as his right arm.
Err, right, Snarfer.  Anyway, this proves that the Sword of Omens is not Lion-O's only weapon.
Right.  Sometimes he shows some creativity and uses the Claw Shield before falling back on the Sword.
