Snow?
Sigh, it snowed again yesterday.

But it's all melting now. I went and stole some lilacs, to remind me of the good old days ;)

But nevertheless, Wilson, Matt and Jim and I drove up the snowy slopes of Idaho Springs and built a bonfire in the falling snow. I fell asleep next to it. Never sleep by the fireline. . . Whoops.

Good times, though, good times. The snow finally stopped around midnight and it cleared up enough for the moon, so when we left at one it was nice.

Other than that, on Thursday Softlines got done at ten, so I got to go home early! (hmmm, it was snowing then too :'( ) But I stayed and did some shopping and talked to Mitch for a while. Apparently his car has the same problem as mine. He was in Electronics so I didn't get the chance to talk to him until after. They're pretty busy, and it's hard to find excuses from Infants to go over there. Lol.

Wilson and I watched Grave of the Fireflies that night. It was a very good anime. I cried, Wilson cried. It was very emotional.

Earlier that day we went swimming. Rather, I jumped in the pool once, and spent the rest of my time in the hot tub and Wilson messed around in the pool and came in the hot tub and was being silly. :)

So that's about it for the past few days. Lindsey's coming today, I'm calling about the car today, and then I have to work tonight. Fun stuff.

Love Gretel.

yawn

I'm tired. I watched the rest of A Chinese Ghost Story last night. And then I stay up reading I, Robot until three. Oh, well. It's not like messing with clothes all day takes that much effort.

Shopping

Yesterday I had Mens and Girls, and I discovered hidden empty cases of CDs and DVDs. duh na na NAAAAH . That was pretty much my excitement for the day. I was done with my zones at nine. So I was sent to Accessories. Pat still wasn't done with her zones so I helped her. She's becoming a team lead, and if that's so, I don't know how we'll ever get out of there on time.

So yesterday was fun cuz I had the day off. I ran some errands and got some stuff accomplished. I also finished another book. Yay me.

I watched this crazy anime movie called The Millenium Actress. I liked it a lot though. But not as much as Spirited Away.

Rachel this is for you:

Crocodile

And Girlies, this if for you:

Bling-Bling

I went to the library with Wilson. I amazingly found the last of the Foundation books. Still debating whether to read the prelude though or not.

And other than that I just have to work tonight. And they called me to ask if I'd work Thursday. So I'll be pretty close to 40 hours this week. Yay me.

Thursday

  • Work, work work
  • Then the library.

Friday

  • Went to the end of the year library party. (yay burritos and crazy "drink charms")
  • Got roses as a library "alum" (soo pretty)
  • Got called into work, yay me.
  • They stuck me in the fitting room
  • Mitch works Shoes and Acces. (huh?) so he was over all the time to talk with me.

Saturday

  • Went with Wilson to work since his mom had to watch the renovations on their house.
  • Put together newspapers for 5.5 hours.
  • Went to eat at Wendy's and read the rest of the day.

Sunday

  • More working. Mens and boys. Blech
  • Close at nine, left at eleven. Sigh, but not for my lack of zoning.
  • Watching hardline people do softlines is very amusing.
Today I've just been running errands since I have today off. It's been super nice outside. Hopefully Wilson and I will spend the rest of the day outside :)

All the little bunnies are out playing and the lilacs are almost in bloom. It's so beautiful right now.

Hearin' the twilight

When I hear this melody
This strange illusion takes over me
Through a tunnel of the mind
Perhaps a present or future time oh, oh
Out of nowhere comes this sound
This melody that keeps spinning 'round & 'round
Pyramidal locomotion
From a mystic unknown zone

Okay, enough of that.

Last night at Target I started out in Infants and Lingerie, but then I switched with Monica and did the fitting room. That wasn't really that bad. I could see how one would be bored with it after a while, but it was a nice change. It's not as stressful as the sales floor. But I don't get to go to the huddles. :'( And on my down time I can doodle on the checklist. Too bad I can't read :(

We got out pretty early last night. I was pretty tired, so I went to bed right away.

I didn't get up too long ago, so nothing new to report there.

I've just been responding to comments. So check those out if you made some :P

I like how I started my last post with "last day"... Either I meant "yesterday" or "last night" but instead decided to combine them both into a freaky new word combo. Well, I suppose it's not ReAllY freaky, but whatev.

So yesterday I watched some movies until Wilson was done with classes. Then we went downtown to the library. We got a bunch more movies, most of them are anime.

I got another Dean Koontz book. Unfortunately all of the hobos like to hang out in that section which made it all the more scary to go find one.

Other than that I've just been reading The Way of the River, which is about martial arts. It was a present from Robin when I left the library.

I get to work tonight. Hopefully they won't stick me in shoes again. I'd really just like to do pulls or stock shelves. But we'll see.

Love, Gretel

Last day was a fun one at work. I got to go home early since I had worked eight hours. I ended up staying an extra hour anyway cuz Wilson didn't come to pick me up til 11.

I had to do three zones all by myself. It was very frusterating. And I was up cashiering most of the night. Sigh. Oh well. Wilson has sushi for me when he picked me up. And we watched a movie.

I went snowboarding on Friday. The last day was yesterday. But I got snowburned. :( And now it's peeling. :( A few people at Target ask me if I've been snowboarding. Wilson got a pretty distinct boarder's tan so I laugh sometimes.

Working Working

Hey-o, another update.

Work at Target was pretty fun today. I picked up some really cheap candy.

Some dude asked me to help find some make-up. . . I think he was pretty embarassed, cuz he was talking really quietly.

But Ima go eat some steaks. So this will be a short entry. Not like I have much to report about Target. Which is what I've been doing all day.

And reading Hideway has been creeping me out! Wilson sneaked up and scared the crap out of me right at an inopportune moment. Sigh.
