Sifnos is only accessible by boat. Ferries leave from the port of Piraeus on the mainland, but the island of Sifnos has also connections to other islands such as Santorini and Milos. If you arrive from Piraeus, you usually make a stop at a few other islands like Kythnos and Serifos. The journey takes just over four and half hours to about 6 hours. Check Ventouris Sea Lines sites and Zante Ferries. The fast high-speed boats are quicker than on the regular (large) ferries, but they are also twice as expensive.
