This is a nice, unspoiled and quiet sandy beach in the north of the island, with some dunes in the hinterland. You will find no umbrellas and sunbeds and actually there is not much, except for a hotel complex, only sand, sea, peace and quiet and the occasional pig that splashes into the sea to swim for a bit. The village itself is not very large. Exactly what we like. The beach is quite large and it is easy to go into the sea. Take some bottles of water with you, because we have not discovered a taverna (update 2009: there is now a beach tavern opened for your drinks and they also rent parasols, later messages show that there are even two tavernas located at the beach). The beach is also suitable for nudists. Enough space on this large beach for everyone and one of our favorite beaches on the island of Mykonos.

There are no buses between the capital of Mykonos and the long sandy beach of Panormos, and it is only accessible by private transport or by taxi. That is why it is also a lot quieter than on some other beaches on Mykonos. Because the beach is in the north of the island, you are best off when the wind comes from the south. Panormos Beach is also a clean beach and it consists of fine sand. It lies in a protected bay and it is easy to enter the sea, because it is shallow and the bottom is sandy and without rocks. The naturist area you will find more at the end of the beach.
