There are several Saiyan transformations
that occur in the whole DragonBall series.
Super Saiyan: The requirements
for a Saiyan to achieve the first transformation, his power level must
be greater than about 100,000, and he must be extremely anrgy. When
a Saiyanbecomes a Super Saiyan, his muscles increase slightly, a golden
glow surrounds him, and his hair becomes blonde. When you are Super
Sayian you become much stronger and faster.
 Ultra
Super Sayian: Ultra Super Saiyan is commonly accomphlished when
the Saiyan uses all his power to try and become Super Saiyan 2. When
a Saiyan becomes an Ultra Super Saiyan, his muscles grows, and an even
bigger golden glow occurs. When you are an Ultra Super Sayian your strength
increases greatly, but your speed slows down greatly as well. Brolli,
Goku, Future Trunks, and Vegeta achieve Ultra Super Saiyan.
 Super
Saiyan 2: In order to reach this state sayian must be triggered
by anger. Only a small amount of Saiyan reach Super Saiyan 2 status.
When a Saiyan reaches Super Saiyan 2, he develops more muscle, his body
glows brighter, he is surrounded by electricity, and his hair's depth
is increase. The only Sayians ever to reach this state are Gohan, Vegeta,
and Goku.
 Oozaru:
When a Sayian Warrior sees the light of a full moon, he transforms into
an ape-like beaast. While in this form a Saiyan's power greatly increases.
There are two ways to turn the beast back into his original form. You
could either chop its tail off, or rid the great source of light.
 Super
Saiyan 3: This transformation is the most strange form of all the
Dragon Ball Z transformations. Only the most powerful Saiyan's have
the ability to reach Super Saiyan 3. When transformed, a Sayian's musles
increase, their eyebrows disappear, and their hair goes down to their
waist. Super Saiyan 3 wears down a Saiyan's body very much, so this
transformation can only be used for a short time. Goku is the only true
Saiyan that reaches this level in DragonBallz.
 Golden
Oozaru: A level that was achieved by Goku and Bedi-Vegeta in Dragon
Ball GT. This is the most powerful of all stages that a Saiyan can achieve,
demonstrated by Goku in DBGT, when he swatted Bedi-Vegeta all over Planet
Plant. The physical attributes that are different are that this form
of Oozaru has golden fur. Also the legendary Super Sayian, Vegeta mentions
in the Frieza Saga, achieved this form. 
Super Saiyan 4: The final transformation
that a Saiyan is able to achieve. First a Sayian must have a tail. When
a very strong Saiyan looks at the full moon, they become a Golden Oozaru.
Then the Saiyan must be enraged and put all of his anger into himself
to reach Super Saiyan 4. If he succeeds, the Golden Oozaru becomes a
Super Saiyan 4. Super Saiyan 4 is the strongest transformation, and
has no weaknesses. Goku is the only person that becamse this form naturally..
Vegeta becomes Super Saiyan 4 because his wife Bulma creates a device
called a Brute Wave which stimulates his body turning him into a Super
Saiyan 4. And one other Saiyan can reach Super Saiyan 4. The fusion
of Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta creates Super Saiyan
4 Gogeta, the strongest person in the entire anime.
