The Pkunk Society
The Pkunk have evolved to a very high spiritual state… so they say. The truth of what the Pkunk believe can never be scientifically proven, just like god can't be scientifically proven. The Pkunk live a world of mysticism. They have psychic capabilities, they can read your mind and see the future. This effects their lives greatly. However they have no control over their power.
The Pkunk see their visions in dreams mostly, but they often see the future while they are awake, but it comes when it comes, but when it does come they see nothing else but the vision. They can hear and feel the real world and therefore communicate with it. The Pkunk secretly yearn for the unexpected since they rarely feel it, they read each other's mind very easily and can telepathically have a conversation with them with their brethren dozens of times quicker than normal audio communications. Their communication is so accurate too, because the other Pkunk understand what he/she is meaning when he/she 'talks.'
As you should know the Pkunk are genetically similar to the Yehat and they both had developped fast reaction times to survive on their planet. They have taken this natural ability into other aspects too. In research and philosophy and sprituality. They can adapt and practice efficiently. This also contribute to their telepathy. Somehow, they're telepathic transmision transend this dimention and can go into hyperspace(As explain in SC3). There colonies are totally intagraded into each other.
It is this factor which makes the Pkunk so difficult to understand. They completely understand each other and what they are thinking, but when they have contact with an alien they have a difficult time understanding them because the Pkunk aren't use to explain vocally what the mean because the don't need when they talk with other Pkunk. They can read an alien's mind, but they can't psychically transmit their thoughts because their brain is so alien. They could even transmit to the Yehat be cause of the way they thought. They were so violent and honor bound and closed minded.
Despite what they say the Pkunk do have all the normal emotions of love, hate, anger, pride, etc. The have and they experience them, but they don't really feel them. They feel only love, happiness, pride, security, reassurance, etc. They do hate though, they hated the Ilwrath for attacking them, but they felt only love. There are many theories as to what really happened to the Ilwrath's 'downfall' from spirituality. One is that it was true. The other is that it was a fabrication made by the Pkunk so that they couldn't hate the Ilwrath because they would have had something in common with them, thus sympathizing with them.
The Pkunk have no formal religion or marriage or currency or anything thing that directly shows an organized culture. Much is undeclared or is difficult to understand. The Pkunk are so vague, that their society and culture can never be close to understanding unless some hoe someone joints them and reaches there approximate level or spirituality.
The Pkunk have apparently reached such a level of spirituality that they can manipulate the laws of science! They can 'reincarnate' their ship instantly after it has been destroyed and probably can do other thing with their reincarnating abilities. They are, however, not technologically advanced. Their weapons are rustic, but they do have fast ships. That is because their ships are so light for unknown reasons. Perhaps only the Pkunk can operate their ship properly because of the 'bending of physics' required for the ship can not be reproduced by any other known being.
A few things are sure about the Pkunk. They feel happiness and love constantly, but have a yearning for diversity of feelings and curiosity and ignorance. They have power psychic abilities. And they are friendly and nice and always willing to be friends no matter whom you are. Anything else would be speculation because the possibilities are so uncertain.
NOTE: There can be a LOT added to the Pkunk Society page because the possibilities are virtually endless! So please think up of anything that make relative sense and send it to me. All that I ask is that you remain consistent with the other ASCH pages (which really isn't that hard to do).
