If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being, and who is willing to destroy his own heart? - Alexander Solzhenitsyn
While the ultimate collapse of the human gene pool is still a long way off, researchers at the Carson City Institute of Genetic science have proven that they can replicate this process and speed up the evolution of man. While many critics claim that these mutations are simply a variant of the basic construction, many believe this step is ground breaking and will pave the way for future human development. Already, religious fanatics are claiming that the process is against the laws of god. These, “humans”, were released from the program towards the end of the year 2000, and many show signs of eventual manifestation of powers beyond human comprehension. Already reports of telekinetics and telepaths abound, with more reports expected. -- Pof. Joseph Stopheim

Clairaudience -

The test subject, when pressured with both many types of chemicals, vitamins and left alone without the benefit of sight or touch, has shown to display incredible hearing perception. as the tests grew harder and harder, the subjects ability to hear grew as well. It soon became possible for the person to hear past solid lead barriers and minute sounds in a noisy room.

Medical Note - Bright flashes of light have been known to cause pain in the test subject, as his eyes seem to have “shrunk” from the process.

Clairvoyance -

This test subject already proved to have a photographic memory, so the tests were easy to pass at first. However, as the medications and laser surgery to the eyes took hold the test subject soon found itself able to look through thin walls and shallow materials to see objects hidden by normal vision. The test subject also proved to be able to see very tiny particles on an object, such as dust, sand or blood.

Medical Note - The test subject appears to need reading glasses to blur her vision when reading larger prints of text. The subjects depth perception is a bit skewed, making it hard for the subject to discern distances and depths. Often times, what the subject considers a shallow pool is often a deep body of liquid

Telepathy -

This test subject proved difficult to control. While the results are considered by many to have yielded the greatest advancement in biochemical science, it also seems to have bred an individual incapable of being fully controlled. Through the use of chemicals and brain enhancement, the test subject was shown to display a far greater aptitude in all faculties of learning and comprehension.

Medical Note - At times the subject has been known to behave erratically, nervous and has been documented as ridden with bouts of deep rooted paranoia. It is believed, but not proved, that the subject hasn’t mastered the intricacies of its own mind. The subject has been given several sedatives and mood altering drugs to help cope with these issues.

Telekinesis -

This subject proved the result of an accident in the process of creating true telepathy. The subject appears to have deep rooted issues with their upbringing, but whether this is a true event, or simply a construction of the mind to masque the trauma of the abilities bestowed, is unknown. The powers first developed as the process for the interpretation of brain waves was researched. What the medical professors discovered is that the subject could attract the states of solid matter in much the same manner as the telepaths could attract the thoughts of others. The telekenetic may be a long way off from true powers of movement and levitation, but the uses are obvious.

Medical Note - Apparently the subjects brain becomes damaged in the process. While the true effects are unknown, mild insanity and full blown dementia are common. These subjects can come from all walks of life, but often appear to view themselves as the subjects of much persecution and ridicule. As an interesting note, the stronger cases often really did come from a past that was less then ideal.

Psychometry -

Dead Cell

The subjects files were destroyed. No evidence of the test subject remain, however a video tape was recovered that showed the subject as a youth. It is suspected that this child was around in the cold war, as per the date of the film, and it is assumed she either died of old age or complications. However, the video has been the basis for relentless research, as the subject proved to be capable of unerring accuracy on the history of certain objects. It has also been questioned on the authenticity of this video.

Psychometabolism -

Active Cell

The subject of the experiment was enhanced with classified surgery that altered the very genetic make up that the subject stemmed from. The subject has displayed the capabilities to seal minor cuts and bruises, and eventually, with a few years of practice, bullet holes. What limits there is to this, is unknown. However, several subjects died in the process before Section 8 learned that the subject ‘absorbs’ the victims wounds. What this is a result of, is classified.

Medical Note - The subject appears to display an uncontrollable ability to heal the inner hurt of people. While dragging out the physical pain, they seem to take each sin of the victim and make it their own. Often subjects with this ability are haunted by these visions...
