Sanhedrin is a small town situated on an island that is also known as Sanhedrin in the Timourous Deep. As you step off the shuttle, a sweep of golden sand leads up to the treeline, through which a slender path, paved in slate, has been laid out. Following the path takes you to the center of town, where a great deal of activity (including building!) is taking place. The settlers move about, running errands, chatting with one another and with guests, or helping with the building.

In the very center of what is clearly the Village Square stands a large stone building with a wooden roof. It is one of the few complete buildings in town, and by far the largest. A sign proclaims it to be "The Eternal Vine", and it is marked as both a tavern and a meeting place of a more serious nature. The settlers offer you a smile, a nod, or a friendly word as you gaze upon the town.

They are of many races -- human, wood elf, high elf, even a dwarf -- and they appear to exist in complete harmony. Many of them carry weapons, but a sizeable number do not, and even those who are armed appear completely at their ease. Although the town is young, it is already flourishing. The atmosphere is one of industriousness, yet there is a sensation of peace throughout all. From somewhere floats a trained bard's voice, singing a cheerful song. Laughter and low-volume chatter hum in the air. Over all, you feel welcome in Sanhedrin.
