NOTICE!

After four (4) wonderful years I have finally decided to close Torayan Weyr. It was a heart wrenching decision... but in the end it is for the best. With my wrist problems and the lack of time to properly care for my Weyr and update the website I don't think it's fair to my outstanding and much loved members to neglect them due to that lack of time. We have also been quite.. comatose.. as of late, and it is obvious that although it was a blast, Torayan has run its course in the world of RP. I will never forget the members who have stuck through with me 'till the end nor those who are a bit newer and gave my Weyr a chance. And for those of you who had applied recently I deeply apologize for not responding but I just don't have the time anymore to pay Torayan the attention it and its members deserve. I hope that all of you who were members have fond memories like I do, and I'll never forget you.

Positions Available at Torayan Weyr

We ask that all new queens be Impressed at Torayan.

We are already in our third year as an active, approved Weyr, but we still have lots of room for you and your personas.

As you browse the list below, keep in mind that any ranking positions will come with added in-character and possibly out-of-character responsibilities. But don't let that scare you away from them. All positions in a Weyr are fun to have!

Torayan Weyr needs:

Headwomen! Or Headmen! Take your pick. Island River Hold and Torayan Hold both need full-time "bosses" of the support staff needed to keep a Hold running. Headwoman is a ranking position, and I personally find it to be just about the most fun position I have ever played. If you're interested, email us. Existing members and newbies welcome, as always.
Candidates: There are many candidate positions open for our next clutch! Get them in for this clutch while you still can! Stay tuned for the next gold flight and keep an eye on our Hatching Grounds.
Full dragonriders of all colors, except queens. We're still short on browns, blues, and greens with male riders, though bronzes (ranking) and female-ridden greens are also welcome.

Weyrlings: Both adoptable (already have names and, in some cases, persona sheets) and backdatable! (you get to name both character and dragon) We role-play our weyrling lessons on a dedicated mailing list.

Holders! We have two PC Holds: Torayan Hold and Island River Hold. Visit the Places section to learn more about each one. Stewards, an adoptable Lady Holder or two, Lordlings, Cooks... you can be creative! We'd also like to get our NPC Holds back in the swing of things, so if you have a lot of time on your hands, and the dedication and desire to maintain an active Hold, email us.

Weyrfolk in general: foster parents, weyrbrats, kitchen helpers, drudges, etc.

Healers, Harpers, Herders, Weavers, Tanners... Basically any crafter you can come up with, for the Weyr and our associated Holds. (Any craft master is a ranking position) Ask us if you have any questions about which Crafts we allow. We could particularly use a Hold Harper at Island River.
