The Giovanni stem from a long line of Italian merchant princes tracing back to the times of the Renaissance. The clan itself keep about them an
air of respect and good manners, most of those whom meet them would comment on their affluence. The Giovanni are a large Venetian family,
some of which are still mortal and serve the main family as ghouls.

The Giovanni practice the dark arts of necromancy, often resulting in their being shunned by most kindred clans, most of whom are outraged and
horrified with the Giovanni's lack of respect for the dead. As a result the Giovanni were rooted out and hunted down then destroyed due to their
unfavourable discipline, until they finally met with the Camarilla and called upon a truce, their part of the bargain being to stay out of the Jyhad
and have no intervention into it. This truce saved the family from genocide.

The Giovanni are an extremely wealthy family given their noble bloodline, and also from their harvesting of wealth through their dis-involvement
with the Jyhad, though many of the kindred clans are fearing a storm from the Giovanni, as no-one would keep so much wealth and amass so
many souls without something being on the horizon.
