Cut to More Fan Fiction |
Starring Debra Farantino and Clancy Brown (Highlander, Carnivale) it followed the story of one woman's resolve to find a cure for her terminally ill son by launching a mission to colonise a new world light years away from the Earth that generations of humans have made virtually uninhabitable. The majority of humans now lived on the Space Stations, with their lives controlled by the Council, and it was on these stations that the condition known as the Syndrome devolped. With no known cure (and no knowledge of the cause) children stricken with the Syndrome rarely lived to see the age of nine. Devon Adair's son was eight, and she was determined to lead the Eden mission to colonise the planet G889 to give her son a chance at life—despite Council opposition.
When the Eden Advance ship crashed on G889, the small group of survivors have to make their way across the alien planet to the designated landing site and make ready for the colony ship full of other ill children and their families that was to follow. But the journey was not easy as they encountered new life-forms such as Terrians and Grendlers, and, more sinisterly, dangerous penal colonists sent by the Council.
