Henry was born on February 23rd, 1840.  Henry's father was Edward Martin and his mother was Anne McPaul.  His paternal grandparents are Edward Martin and <Unknown>. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Leanard, John, Daniel, James, Edward, Mary and Margaret.  He was the fifth oldest of the eight children.
