Ghosts of Darkness

Dark Angel
I'm bleeding life, breath in a mist, and yet,
Death comes onto me, to take me in its net.
I'm bleeding life, breath softly freezing, and still
Death is here, insidiously weakening my will.
O Dark Angel, drive it away for one evening,
Turn it down and fly me away on your wing.

I'm bleeding pain, wounds oozing life,
And surrounding me, air with threat is rife.
I'm bleeding pain, life hoping and calling,
Threat, go away, I'm still in my spring.
O Dark Angel, keep it away a moment more,
Shield me and gently bring me to your shore.

I'm bleeding soul, pain overwhelming,
Soul eater, go away, I'm no warrior, no king.
I'm bleeding soul, pain suddenly almighty,
Soul eater, forget me and have some mercy.
O Dark Angel, protect me for one last breath,
Protect me from bleeding tears and endless death.

I'm bleeding life, soul mourning its sorrow,
And Death is patiently waiting in the shadow.
I'm bleeding life, soul slowly torn apart,
And Death is waiting for me to depart.
O Dark Angel, take me in your embrace,
Show me your face and grant me your grace!
