First off, God sought to forgive everyone of their sins, by creating the ultimate sacrifice. So, He sent down Jesus, the messiah. 100% man, and 100% God in one. Hard to understand, but God is so perfect, we couldn't hope of understanding His plan as humans.
So, Jesus came down to preach the new relationship between Man and God. To denounce religion, and to promote the one way to God: Through Him, Jesus Christ. Well, many did not agree with what He had to say, and saw it necessary to sentence Him to death. Death by crucifixion. In the end, Jesus was subject to a terrible scourging, bearing His cross, and the final crucifixion. He died, and defeated Sin. Yet, He did not stay dead, He arose three days later. He conquered death, and then ascended back up to Heaven! Awaiting to return once again!
That was the sacrifice made for every man, woman, and child to ever live on Earth! Out of love and grace, Jesus took our punishment, Death, upon Himself so that we may live with Him in eternity. Will you accept His sacrifice?
