Ray's Man of the Match:A no brainer this week, for his awesome display with the ball, basically setting up a much needed victory for ACC it goes to Kristian for his 4/14 off 12 overs.

Match Report:

"KRISTIAN BRINGS BACK THAT WINNING FEELING"

Day 1:
A battle between two teams in the wrong half of the ladder today, both desperately needing victory. ACC welcomed back their captain Norm and the recently married Luke, back from a two game absence. Omur also returned, taking the place of Jack who was unable to play this match. Earlwood won the toss and elected to bat. The leather was given to Kristian for the opening over and he got to work. Third ball of the innings, Earlwood's opening batsman on strike defended as the ball trickled it's way onto the foot of the stumps, without managing to dislodge the bails. A collective groan could be heard from the ACC team, fearing it wasn't going to be their day. Their fears were put to rest only a matter of seconds later with Kristian's very next ball crashing into the stumps: 1/0. Norm opened from the opposite end and it didn't take him too long to open his account either, trapping Earlwood's batsman LBW: 2/2. The captain provided again, this time bowling out Earlwood's batsman: 3/7. Kristian got better and better with every ball bowled, terrorizing Earlwood's top order and he soon claimed his second victim, really putting ACC on top: 4/16. Norm took a deserved rest as Sam was introduced to the attack. He also got in on the act, despite not bowling one of his better balls, he still managed to pilot the ball into the stumps: 5/27. Kristian found the edge of the bat for a caught behind and ACC were on fire: 6/27. Earlwood steadied, putting some runs together for the seventh wicket, so Omur was given a bowl. It worked, Jeremy took a good catch and it was: 7/50. Ray was also put into the action and provided Con with the easiest of catches: 8/59. Kristian took his fourth, bowled: 9/61. Ray wrapped up the innings, tossing one up with Earlwood's number 11 batsman having no idea, out bowled: 10/74. Earlwood all out for 74, with 5 sundries included in their total, Kristian with outstanding figures of 4/14 from 12 overs.

Once again, it was Sam and Ben who took to the crease to open the innings for ACC. Both guys began well, getting into double figures, for one of ACC's best opening partnerships of the season, if not the best. With the total score now in the thirties, Sam was bowled for 12: 1/31. Ben fell right after, caught behind: 2/31 and Sebastian continued the domino effect, caught and bowled for a duck: 3/31. When Jeremy was caught behind for two: 4/38 and Graham, rewarded with a batting order promotion for his display last week, out bowled for a duck: 5/38, it was panic stations for ACC. Ray joined Luke at the crease and steadied things a little, trying to hit back into some form. He reached double figures and ACC looked comfortable again as the drinks break was taken. First ball back from the break, Ray was caught in the gully for 11: 6/60. Any glimmer of hope for Earlwood soon evaporated with Con's arrival to the crease as he whacked a six into the skateboard ramp. Together with Luke, they guided ACC to victory, reaching: 6/77 with plenty of overs to spare and 9 extras in the total. So, victory at last for ACC! We play Cavaliers next week so hopefully back-to-back victories are on the cards if we play well again.
