MID-YEAR & YEAR-END CONFERENCES
MID-YEAR CONFERENCE We hope we have all enjoyed and have also been blessed during the recent mid-year Conferences held in our respective Chapters. It is our fervent hope that a number of EXCO members, particularly those assigned to your Chapters, did support you during the said conferences. For those who will still be having their mid-year conferences we would wish God’s blessings.
YEAR-END 2002/3 CONFERENCE LOGISTICS The 35th SDASA Conference shall be held at the University of Zululand. The Conference shall run for 13 days, full-time students to pay R450.00 whilst non full-time students to pay R470.00. We would therefore request people to register with their respective Chapters, and the deadline thereof will be 15 December 2001. The camp fee should be deposited into our account, SDASA, Standard Bank (Durban Branch) Business Account no. 05 030 654 5.
The 2003 SDASA Conference shall be held on the 19th December 2002 to 1st January 2003. Members are, however, urged to arrive on the 18th December 2002 for registration purposes, and not earlier than this date. A draft program shall be issued to all Chapters by 1st December 2002. However, in the interim we would like to solicit your views on what each Chapter wants included therein. Further, we would like to be reminded that this year’s conference is the 35th ‘birthday’ for SDASA, and as such we would like to solicit your views on what you would like included in our programme.Your chapter input shall be appreciated if they could reach the Secretariat by 31st October 2002.
The theme of this year’s conference is “WILL HE FIND FAITH …. WHEN HE COMETH”. Pastor Ming – Caribbean Islands, Pastor and Mrs. David Klinedinst - Pennsylvania Conference (USA), Pastor Charles- RSA, Pastor B. Banner, Allegheny East Conference (USA) will grace the conference. Please include these speakers in your prayer roster, and the conference as a whole.
As part of the 35th birthday celebration we would like to advise the constituency that we would be selling calendars, brochures and booklets during the year-end conference to commemorate same, and as such your anticipated support in purchasing these items is appreciated.
Lastly, we are mindful that this conference shall coincide with the elections of new EXCO members to lead the organisation during 2003 and 2004. We would like to urge everyone to prayerfully think about the new leadership thereof.
May the Almighty bless us as we prepare for our year-end conference.
