The Seventh-day Adventist Students Association (SDASA) is a church-based student programme aimed at revitalising students' spiritual life in non-Adventist tertiary institutions while addressing their social and professional challenges. Its history is traced back in 1967. SDASA has an established Department of Campus Ministry that is responsible, in collaboration and co-operation with the Youth Ministries Department of the Southern Africa Union Conference as well as Conferences and Fields within the SAU jurisdiction, for the realisation of the above stated objective.

With time, it has become increasingly necessary to integrate students' programmes with professionals in an endeavour to enrich and support students' ministry. Professionals are brought in to add value by providing support in terms of resources. The resources could be financial; professional guidance; in-service training; workshop running on a number of aspects (life skills, leadership and management etc); linking students to renowned gospel speakers; organisational and project management assistance for students' events etc, the list is endless. We have found that this partnership is the best one could find, especially as it infuses expertise from the laity, pastors and students.
