L.M.S. Transcription Service, is a home-based business situated in Walhalla, South Carolina. The company provides medical transcription to all healthcare providers, including individual practitioners, small and large practices, clinics, and hospitals, as well as general secretarial services for all business and individual, personal needs. The company is named for its owner: Lynn M. Stephens. Lynn grew up in New York State and was a professional secretary/administrative assistant for 15 years after graduating high school. She moved to South Carolina in 2003 with her husband. After a period of time away from the office doing renovation work in her new home, Lynn decided to change the direction of her career by taking a course in medical transcription work. She graduated with a 95% average from the "Professional Career Development Institute" in Norcross, GA and opened her business in 2006.
