In level one GCK, cadets learn about squadron orders and regulations; squadron sponsors; the aims, motto, and oath of the Air Cadet Program; cadet ranks and qualification badges; officer ranks; saluting; uniform dress regulations; duties of a follower; training opportunities; and Air Cadet flags.
In level one Citizenship, cadets learn about our country-Canada; the national flag; and the national anthem.
In level one Physical Fitness, cadets learn about the Canada Fitness Award Program. At the end of their training, the cadets will be required to take a fitness test. Badges are awarded to those cadets who meet the requirements.
In level one Sensible Living, cadets learn about nutrition; and fire prevention and safety.
In level one, cadets learn basic Effective Speaking principles. They learn about personality; preparation; and presentation.
In level one Airframe Structures cadets learn about transatlantic flights; transpacific flights; supersonic flights; largest and fastest airlines; heaviest and fastest bombers; and various other planes.
In level one Aerornautical Facilities, cadets learn about aiports and aerodomes.
In level one Airframe Structures, cadets learn about aircraft components; aircraft construction; and airmanship.
In level one Aircrew Survival, cadets learn about maintenance of equipment and clothing; personal hygiene; fires; garbage disposal; and survival psychology.
In level one Range, cadets learn about shooting safety; care and cleaning of rifles; range orders and procedures; range safety orders; shooting essentials; loading and unloading.
