The 70th Week of Daniel
The 70th week begins with the opening of the first seal and the signing of the treaty that will give peace and security to the nation of Israel.
The second, third and fourth seals are opened following the opening of the first seal and brings us to the mid-point of the 70th week.
This is when things really start to get interesting, exciting, horrific, glorius or a plethora of other adjectives to suit your feelings on this subject. Some will be scared out of thier wits, others will hate what is happening. A few will find it the best moment of thier entire lives, and many will die. Jesus said that we would be in tribulation and that we were to know that He was there before us and that if the world hates us we are to realize that the world hated Him before it hated us. In fact, that is the reason the world hates believers; the world hates Jesus! I don't feel one bit put out that some of you will not like the content of this site, In fact it will be proof that I speak rightly, and in the name of the Lord. This is about your souls and everlasting life and everlasting death, this is about sin and morals. I am here to tell you that we have to get ourselves together and hear the Word of the Lord so that we are protected from the time of testing that is coming as surely as the dawn. The faithful will be protected, not the rich, not the good, not those arrayed in sartorial splendor; the faithful. All those who love God and love their neighbors as themselves will be protected from the hour of temptation that comes to try the whole world. Preaching won't do it; casting out demons won't get it done; the size of your congregations and the depth of your coffers will doom you the time of testing. Rev 3:10; "Because you have kept the word of my patience, I will also keep you from the hour of temptation, which will come upon the whole world to try them that dwell on the earth."
Some time after the opening of the first seal the trumpets begin to blow.
Joel records the time of the end in his book. At the time that the sacrafice is cut off from the house of God, all the grass and trees are gone. This parallels Rev. 8:7, which is the first trumpet. Joel also records that the nation that comes up on the land, has the teeth of a lion. This is the same as the beast that comes out of the sea in Revelation 13. Joel records that the trees and grass are burned at the time that the daily sacrifice and oblation are taken away from the house of God, at the time of the day of the Lord. Now this is not to say that the day of the Lord happens right then; no, the day of the Lord is now a foregone conclusion because the Jews have fallen under the control of the beast by the signing of the treaty and the fact that the beast has entered into the temple and taken away the daily sacrifice and installed himself as god over the nation of Israel. (Daniel 9 and Matthew 24 and 2Thessalonians 2) Joel is saying that the day of the Lord is coming soon because events have unfolded exactly as the Lord said they would and the return of the Lord is now a event that is close to fruition.
Between the opening of the first seal and the mid-point of the 70th week, the world is a mess. The riders of the other horses of the first four seals tell us this is the truth. War and death and famine and natural calamities abound during this time. The world as we now see it will have begun to collapse and the people of the world will look for someone to bail them out of the mess the world is in. The fact that the beast will have secured the peace in the Mid-East will put him first on the list of candidates for world leader. And the fact that he was dead and lives again will serve to put him on the throne, as ruler of the world. (Rev 13 & 17)
Be prepared saints, we're going in. The battle is not yet joined, but soon will be. We must place our trust in Jesus not gold and silver. Jesus can and will protect and deliver us from this time. Don't be afraid, Jesus is far bigger than the beast or satan, and far more powerful. He knows how to keep the righteous and punish the sinner. The only ones who have anything to fear are the ones who do not keep the word of his patience. If we were not going into the 70th week why would He tell us all about it?
Why would He spend the time writing the letters to the churches if it wasn't for a warning? The letters are written before the first seal is opened, and they are written to the "churches", are we all a part of the church? Are some who believe not a part of the church? If Jesus was writing to the one who were going to be in the 70th week, why did He not address them only? The letters are written to the churches, all of us, not just some of us. Some think that they are better than the rest of us and deserve to be gone before any trouble starts. But the Lord says:"....tribulation works patience...." (Romans 5, 2Peter 3, 1Peter 1:7 and chapter 4)
Some think that because John heard a voice that said;"Come up here." this means that the church will be taken off the earth at the commencement of the 70th week. And they say that because the church is not mentioned in the ensuing chapters of the Revelation, that this is futher proof that the church is not on the earth in the 70th week. They also say that the return of Jesus takes place without any further prophesied events taking place before His parousia. 2 Thessalonians says that The day of the Lord is to be preceded by; the revealing of the man of sin and the apostasy.
That's two, count 'em, events that are foretold to happen before the return of Jesus. Jesus also specified each church and what was good about that church and what was wrong with it, and the consequences of the sin that was in the church. He would not have done that if the church was not going to be on the earth during the 70th week or in the tribulation. There would be no need to warn them of thier sins or the dire consequences of that sin, because the churches would not be on the earth to recieve the recompense that was appropriate for the sin in the body.
Further, how can those same people say that because John was told to; "Come up here", it means that the church was going with him? There is no scriptural backing for the church going with John at this time. The only reason they say things like that is because they don't want to be here during the 70th week.
I don't really want to be either, but that's the way it is, and He promised to protect the faithful. So be of good cheer and rely on the Lord and His strength, and not your own.
The 70th week begins with the opening of the first seal and the signing of the treaty for peace and security for the nation of Israel. War and famine and death follow for many on the earth; but the righteous will be saved. As the middle of the week approaches; the first trumpet sounds and the grass and the trees are burned. The trumpets may blow in rapid succession after this, it's hard to say exactly when they will sound or when the seals will be loosed or when the bowls will be poured out. I'm not setting dates, God has revealed the order of things concerning the 70th week and that is what I'm relating to you.
Saints, members of the body, people of God, hear me; for I speak the Word of the Lord to you as a warning of what is coming. I want you to be prepared for what is going to happen and to continue with your eyes open.
Give up the pleasing doctrines to which many hold fast and return to the Lord and His ways.
What if you believe the pre-trib doctrine and it doesn't come to pass? what are you going to do then?
