The 70th Week begins with the opening of the first seal.
The first seal is the rider on the white horse, he has a bow, and a crown was given to him. Some think this is Jesus. The people who think this are given to a pre-trib mentality, in that they hope to leave before the 70th week begins, or at least at the same time as it begins. They rightly discern that the rider on the white horse signifies the beginning of the 70th week, and they know that if they interpret this as Jesus, they will be taken off the planet at the start of the end of the age. The reason they hope for this is that they will escape the persecution of the saints of God that is soon to follow the rider on the white horse.
This rider of a white horse, at the opening of the first seal, is different from the rider on the white horse that is recorded in The Revelation, Chapter 19. The rider on the white horse in chapter 19 has a name, and righteousness, and His eyes burn with fire, and He wears many crowns, and He is clothed in a garment washed with blood, and the armies of heaven follow Him. This is Jesus. The rider on the white horse at the first seal is not Jesus, he is the beast, the endtime dictator, the antichrist.
The 70th week begins with this man signing a covenant with Israel, for seven years, for security and peace. Why would the peace and security of Israel make any difference to anyone? Israel is such a small country, why should the whole world get involved in what happens to the Jews? There is a lot of importance, and urgency, placed on Israel achieving peace with her neighbors, and her neighbors with her. Why? Countries that are larger and more powerful and with more wealth than Israel,have been allowed to fall while the world watches. Why is Israel allowed to stand with long odds against her?
Israel has proved she can't live peacefully with her Arab brothers. They hate her, and she hates them. Why not just give the Arabs what they want, control of the whole region, without Israel? They would view it as a favor from the world and OPEC would keep the oil flowing. Without U.S. backing, Israel would cease to exist. Why do we protect Israel? Because God wants it that way. Israel would not exist if it were not for divine intervention. God needs the nation to exist for His purposes. Israel needs to exist so that Jesus can return to His people, in the place where they are supposed to be, the land of Caanan. Israel needs to exist in his own land so that he can call on the name of the Lord, out of the land promised to him, by God, in the days of Abraham. Israel must also betray God one more time. They must refuse His mercy and forgivness yet again.
They will sign an agreement with a strong king, for peace. They will trust in him and not thier God. Sadly, many in the church will follow, as will most of the rest of the world.
The beast will sign this treaty so that he can gain entrance to the nation of Israel and betray them later. Peace in Israel will be big news, the whole world waits on it. The leaders of the world have not been able to get it done, what's it been now, 8 years? Someone is going to have a solution to the problem and sign a covenant guaranteeing the security of the nation of Israel, read Daniel 9. This is also the place where the abombination of desolation is spoken about and refered to by Jesus in Matthew 24) The rider of the first seal goes about conquering and to conquer and a crown was given to him. This is the beginning of the 70th week just as the 9th chapter of Daniel says; "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week....." ("week"; Hebrew; shabuwa: lit. "sevened" ie. a week; (specifically of years) so, one week is seven years in this passage)
This could happen at any time, the treaty could be signed shortly, within months. This should be taken seriously as it means a great change for the church. Saints hear me, I speak that which I know, as the Lord has told me.
The end approaches and now is the time to hear our God and our Lord Jesus.
The fact is, we are entering into the 70th week as tarnished silver and impure gold and will be brought through and delivered to The Father as perfect and unblemished. We have a great many rewards waiting for us and the end of troubles. Let us be patient and wise and trust in the name of the Lord. Even though the storm rages around us, the Rock will not be moved. He is a sure foundation and a rock of stability in times of distress. The name of the Lord is like a strong tower, and the righteous go there in the times of trouble!!
