SHEEP RAIDS XII

28-30 April

The Shire of Seareach has prepared for "Ewe2K" and invites one and all to join us once again for this annual event/public demo.

Once again the site is at Poplar Grove Plantation, just north of Wilmington, NC, on Hwy 17. The site will open at 6pm on Friday and will close at 3pm on Sunday. Please remember that this is a Public Demo, and so the site is very discreetly damp from 10am until 5pm on Saturday. If you wish to bring a pet, please contact the AUTOCRAT first!! A signed site waiver and a copy of their current shot record will be required.

The Site Fee- is $3 and the feast is $5 for a total of $8 on site/on board. Please make checks payable to "Shire of Seareach, SCA Inc." Fighting: Will be our traditional Sheep Raiding in 5-7 man teams depending on number of fighters.

Rapier: Will be our traditional Barn Burning with a twist! We will have 3 man teams this year!

Directions:

From the north- Follow Hwy 17 South. Poplar Grove Plantation is on the left 4.2 miles from the Hwy 210 connection in Hampstead. Watch for signs.

From the West- If you come in on I-40 East, take exit#408 for Hwy 210. Turn left towards Hampstead. Follow hwy 210 to Hwy 17. Turn right onto Hwy 17 in Hampstead. Continue for 4.2 miles. Poplar Grove Plantation will be on your left.

OR- If you come in by way of 74-76 (across the Cape Fear River Bridge) again follow the signs for 17 north through town. As you progress North on 17, Poplar Grove Plantation will be on your right, Approximately 8 miles North of Wilmington. Signs will be posted.

From the South- Continue North on Hwy 17 (also called Market Street) through town and on up to Poplar Grove Plantation, on your right approximately 8 miles North of Wilmington.
