Raiders II Autocrat

Gives Words of Thanks

Now that Raiders of the Lost Cove II has come to a successful closure, I wish to take this opportunity to give my thanks collectively to all of the Coastal Alliance. Without your individual support this event/demo would not have been as successful as it turned into. All three groups of the Coastal Alliance can be proud that we all pitched in to lend support wherever it was needed. There are so many that helped in numerous ways that to mention all by name would take a long time and a lot of paper. Therefore, I sum it up collectively by saying, "Thank you, each and every one of you."

The above paragraph was to give thanks to actual SCA members that pitched in. However, this paragraph is for the new people that are ready to join. Your help was much more cherished. I say this because you are new to the SCA, but you offered your assistance without reservations. Whenever I asked for assistance in getting something done, any one of you that was near came forth and did the job that I needed done at the time I needed it to be done. I give each and every one of you a most heartfelt thank you. During your adventure with the SCA, as long as you give of yourself without thought of reward or advancement you will most assuredly go far.

In Service to the Dream,

Lord Calledon

Seneschal and Autocrat

Candle Wit

The National Candle Association says to properly put out a candle’s flame, hold your finger in front of the flame and blow at it. The air will flow around the finger and extinguish the candle from both sides, preventing hot wax from splattering.

Candles refrigerated before use will burn more slowly and evenly.

To remove wax from fabrics, scrape off the excess and run boiling water through the material.
