Sailor Moon is © Naoko Takeuchi et al, 1992.

7 Now it's time to give Sailor Baldy here some hair. Put you're template back onto the picture, or start with a fresh piece of tracing paper if you want. We are going to deconstruct the hair in the same way we did for the face, by breaking it down into simple shapes.

8 Usagi's hair is is the easiest to break down. It becomes a series of circles with lines dropped down for her pig tails. Some of the other Senshi have hair that might be a little more complicated, but just remember to look for the simple shapes.

9 Lightly redraw you're hair shapes onto the drawing you have on the blank paper. Now use those guiding shapes to help you draw in the hair. Carefully erase the guidelines. Now you can add details like shadows, Senshi accessories such as tiaras, or whatever you want. You can leave you're drawing in pencil or you can finish it with pen and/or colour it in.

Now you're done! Give yourself a pat on the back! All you need to do now is keep practicing until you can draw everything by yourself, without looking at a picture or using tracing paper. Get yourself a sketchbook, tie several pieces of blank paper together or put some in a binder and keep it as your practice book. Keeping all of your drawings in the same place lets you look back and see what mistakes you made in the past, so you can keep improving. Don't be discouraged if you aren't a great artist right away. Just keep trying! The only way you will get better is if you learn from past mistakes and practice, practice, practice!
