[Vector Markup Language ] is a text based vector graphics format proprietary to Internet Explorer.

e have tested the code in IE5.5, IE6.0, Netscape4.08, Opera7.23 and Netscape7.02. This script worked in IE only. All other platforms tested you will not see this effect. It degrades well and you will not get any error messages.

his is an interesting fireworks effect with the following attributes:
Makes use of VML support in IE5+ to render the stars. No
graphics involved.
- Uses conditional comments of IE5+ for backwards compatibility with other browsers.
- Colors
of fireworks fully customizable.
- Disadvantages
- The script may not
run smoothly on slow-end computers
Disabling of the horizontal scrollbar on the page is required
(done by script automatically).

epending on your knowledge of HTML and java scripts, this is an easy, two part copy and paste code that goes in the <HEAD> section (no reconfigurations) and <BODY> section of your document with minimal reconfigurations( optional ).
The only reconfigurations that can be made are that of the colors other than the
default* colors.
* We are using the default colors. These can all be changed in the below part of the <BODY> section of the code.

he above are the only reconfigurations to be made within the code. The only downside of this effect is that as you scroll down, you lose the effect, It does not follow the page as you scroll.
