Top Navigational Bar

I f you were to look at the top of your screen you will see a navigational bar. This is an extremely cool, professional effect to add to your site. Just put your mouse over it and watch what happens. It has all the capabilities of expanding or contracting to fit your links. The bar also has the capabilities to be totally customized for whatever colors fit your site.

W e have tested the code in IE5.5, IE6 and Netscape4.08. This script worked well in all platforms tested with no variations observed.

D epending on your knowledge of HTML, DHTML and java scripts this is not that hard of a script to make work on your site. It has five steps to it plus as many reconfigurations as you want to do to add as many of your links as you need to.

O nce you get to the site the first thing you need to do is download the "zip" file, unzip it and save it to your hard drive. This file is called "navcond.js". When you unzip it there will be two other files with it. One will be "navbar" and the other will be "dhtmllib". Actually you don't really need either one of them if you don't want to use them. The unzipped file ( navcond.js ) must then be uploaded to your editor in order for the script to work. You put this file in the second line of the code at the very top in the <HEAD> section of your document. See the example below.

<script language="JavaScript"
src="Path To The File/navcond.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript">

A lso don't forget the "body onload" event handler that is pasted directly into your <BODY> tag. If you do not know how to do this, see the below example.

</head>
<body bgcolor="#000000" body onload="init()" text="#ba55dc" link="#fff8dc" alink="#fff8dc" vlink="#fff8dc">
<basefont size="3">

O nce you have everything pasted in your document and you see the "Navigational Bar" up and running, now the fun starts where you need to reconfigure all the URL's for all your links. We did not supply a full tutorial on this reason being the script itself is extremely clear on where and howto. If you feel you need us to build a tutorial on this for you, just contact us and it shall be done. If you would like to add this effect to your pages, grab the below link and you are there. If you still are having any trouble with it feel free to contact us.
