Digital Era HTML Maker

B elow are instructions for the use of the Digital Era HTML maker if you do not understand how to use it.

W e have tested the code in IE5.5, IE6, Netscape4.08 and Netscape7.0. This script worked well in all platforms with the exception of Netscape4.0 where the below variations were observed:

1)      In IE the instructions were incased within a partially defined textarea form box.
2)      In Netscape4.0 they were not incased within the partially defined textarea form box. Reason being:
3)      Textarea form was not properly defined with an opening <form> tag and a closing </form> tag.
4)      Textarea box was not defined as having a name.
5)      All the buttons were positioned to the left as opposed to being centered as is the textarea box for building the page. Reason being:
6)      The two tables for the buttons were defined as table align="top" where it should be defined as table align="center".
7)      We have rectified the problems as shown below so it will appear correctly in Netscape within our pages.

Form reconfiguration

<form>
<textarea name="instructions" rows=10 cols=80 >

*******************INSTRUCTIONS GO HERE*******************

</textarea>
</form>

Buttons Positioned Left ~ Default Two Places

<center>
<table align="top" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">

Buttons Positioned Center Reconfigurations ~ Two Places

<center>
<table align="center" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">

I f you want it to appear with the Textarea box for the instructions, and the buttons centered you need to make these reconfigurations until the script site makes these modifications. We have notified the originating script site of this oversight on 05/16/02. The instructions nor the positions of the buttons do not effect the operation of the "Digital Era HTML Maker" in any way. If you are going to add this generator to your pages you want it to appear in all platforms are similar as possible.

W e have named the form ( instructions ), where the default was left without a name and increased the number of "cols" to that of 80 for an easier reading of the instructions. The last thing we did was to position the instructions so there would be no horizontal scroll needed in Netscape.

I f you want this on your site just go to the below link and grab the code. No reconfigurations other than what we have set forth above until the modifications are made within the originating script site. Just copy and paste the code in your document as a complete html page. The code itself after you study it all goes into the <BODY> section of your document. if you want other material on your page either put it above or below the Digital Era HTML Maker.
