Auto Scroll II Scrolls page in same window. Tested in IE5.5, IE6 and Netscape4.08

F or the longest time we have been looking for this script for a request. After a lengthy search of all our resources, we came upon it and made someone very happy by our locating it for them.

U nlike the scroll effect we have ( see below link ), this one scrolls in the same page and not in another window. It also has the capabilities of either starting to scroll when the page loads or with a button to start the scrolling effect.

W e have tested the code in IE5.5, IE6 and Netscape4.08. This script worked well in all platforms tested with no variations observed.

D epending on your knowledge of HTML and Java scripts this is a two part script that is quite easy. Paste the code after, yes After! the closing </BODY> tag in your HTML document.

Y ou can add a body onload element into the <BODY> tag in your document (for the page to start scrolling as soon as it is loaded) or a form button as we have. If you do not know how to add a body onLoad element into your body tag, see our below example.

Y ou can as we have, add a form button for your visitors to manually start the scrolling. The speed of the scrolling can also be reconfigured to however slow or fast you want to the page to scroll.

W e do not feel a full tutorial is needed at this time seeing that the site you get the code have excellent step by step tutorial on how to make this script work on your page.
