T his calculator solves algebraic equations with complex coefficients up to the cubic order. Enter a numerical value; click on a coefficient-button to assign the value. Then click the "Solve" button.

W e have tested the code in IE5.5, IE6.0, Firefox0.9.1, Opera7.54 and Netscape7.02. This script worked well in all platforms with no variations observed.

D epending on your knowledge of HTML and java script, this is an easy, three part copy and paste code with "No" * reconfigurations. Once you insert the code, you are up and running. The first part goes in the <HEAD> section of your document, the second part goes directly into the <BODY> tag * and the last part goes in the <BODY> section of your document.

* If you do not know how to insert an event handler directly into the <BODY> tag, see the below example:

* The only reconfiguration you may want to do which is not part of the script is add an "Automatic Form Field Clearing" element. On the Algebraic Equation Solver Page, you will notice where it says "Enter a number in this field:" and when you click inside the form element, the 0 vanishes. This effect is called, automatic form field clearing. If you do not know howto or what it is, we do not suggest you attempt it. We suggest you need a good solid working knowledge of forms to do this.
