Day 11
Tuesday August 7, 2012
Up early today to have one more breakfast over at the Cal. The wait here this morning was just 2 minutes. Dee got spam and eggs with rice and I got blueberry pancakes. The food came out very quickly and was good as it usually is here. One thing to note is the blueberry pancakes don't come with the blueberries cooked in. Instead, you get small dish of blueberry pie filling and smear it on yourself. These also come with a small cup of whipped cream.

After breakfast we came back here to the room to finish packing for today's move. Checking out went well and we were on our way.

Today's move is to Aliante Station. We've never even been here before even though we've had plans to get out there ever since it opened. I booked this hotel online in my boarding pass account because Stations is always so prompt in sending out their mailed offers (note the sarcasm). All I knew it offered was 3 nights and any Station property. My offers for the last few months have been for 3 nights, $50-100 in free play, 6 points per dollar played, and 2 or 4 buffets. I did find out up at Sunset this weekend that the points multiplier was being offered and my free play was for $50. I'm not sure about the food offer, if there is any.

When we arrived we liked what we saw. When we got in checking in was super fast. I requested a handicap room so Dee would have an easier time but they didn't have any available. We were given room 8012. This room has a king bed, nightstands, arm chair, small table, work desk, dresser and flat screen TV. The bathroom is on the small side with a glass shower stall with bench in the back and a small vanity with hair dryer and scale. The toilet is tucked away behind a frosted glass window. The view of this room isn't all that spectacular, but if you like watching traffic go by, it's got a great view of the 215 beltway!

We got settled into the room and then ventured to the casino in search of lunch. We decided on the buffet since there were no lines and we had 4 free available with the room offer. The buffet here is standard Stations with numerous regions represented like Asian, Italian, Mexican, BBQ and American. I thought the foods here were good and the price is good at just $7.99 for lunch if you have a player's card.

When we finished lunch we came back to the room and changed our clothes for a trip to the pool. The pool here was nice and not crowded or full of rowdies. We spent a few hours here before feeling baked enough to return to the room for a break.

After the break it was time for some casino action. We found some jacks or better machines and started to pound away. We both hit quads right away and from here we never looked back. I didn't hit any more quads for the rest of the session but Dee seemed to be hitting one every few minutes. She was doing so well she switched to playing halves and dollars for a little while. By the end of the session I was even. This wasn't the greatest outcome because I was up over $80 at one point. I was impressed by that considering I only hit one quad. Dee was up $300 at one point and quit with a $200 win which was a nice way to end the day.

Total win/loss for the day $200
Total Comps for the day $112
