The Power of Intention is a 50 card deck that is based on Wayne Dyer's best selling book The Power of Intention. Here intention returns to its roots - it becomes more than the actions that you take, it is an energy that surrounds you ... an energy that you become a part of. Dr. Dyer presents intention as an invisible field of energy, and a force that we need to know that we all have within us. Through the use of intention, we have the power to draw this energy to use - by being the energy that we want to attract! The cards themselves are 3 1/2" by 5", good quality, laminated cards. They are divided into three groups, each with a different background motif. The face of the cards have a motto in black letters across the bottom, with a cartoon graphic above it. The back of the cards show a smaller version of the same graphic, with an explanation of how to use the energy underneath it.
There are many ways that these cards can be used. They can be used on an individual basis by either pulling a card each day, either randomly or by going through the deck and choosing the energy that you wish to work with/draw to you. You could also choose one or more cards and work with their energy for a specific amount of time - perhaps a week, or even a month. The cards could also be used within a group setting, with each group member choosing a personal card, or with the group choosing a card that represents the energy that the group wishes to work with. I found the cards well done, and very appealing. They will stand up under continued use, and the description of the energy on the back of the card allows the user to easily put the energy to work. As a stand alone system, or used in conjunction with the book, this is a wonderful tool of empowerment that can be used by anyone, from any background.

The first group of seventeen cards has a light lavender background, with darker lavender "squiggles" through it. Representative of this group are the motto's: "Release Others' Expectations", "Feel Superior To No One", "Meditate Regularly", and "Honor Your Body Temple".
The second group of sixteen cards has a dark beige background with darker brown dotted through it. Representative of this group are the motto's: "Monitor Your Inner Dialogue", "Act As If", "Surround Yourself With High Energy People", "Radiate Serenity and Peace", and "Appreciate Everything and Everyone".
The third group of seventeen cards has a light beige background with brown-gold dotted through it. Representativ eof this group are the motto's: "Optimize Your Health", "Practice The Power of Intention", "Express Gratitude" and "Listen To Your Thoughts".
