channeled from the teachings of Salem through Diandra Clarmar Publishing 2003 ISBN #0-9722680-3-0 There are many books out there that talk about the chakras, and about healing through the chakras. Experiencing Life Through The Chakras is geared to the spiritual aspect of chakra energy, and what this means to each of us on a day to day basis. "Salem" is the name of a group entity that channels through internationally known spiritual teacher, counselor and seminar leader Diandra. This group presence is expressing itself at this time because there is a need to expand human consciousness to a higher level, to release those that are imprisoned by their own belief systems. As a seeker on the path of enlightenment, Clarence Diegel has teamed up with Diandra, with whom he has a close personal friendship, to get the message from Salem out to human kind through seminars, books and discussion groups. He hosts on online site, www.PathToRemberance.com, which is devoted to being an online resource for those on the spiritual path. One thing struck me immediately - both Diandra and Clarence Deigel come from backgrounds grounded in "reality" - Diandra came from a successful career in finance, while Deigel took a degree in physics and worked for over twenty years as an engineer and manager for a Fortune 500 company. This book is definitely not new age for the sake of new age! The aim of this material is to open your mind to the possibilities in life. It would be too simplistic to say "If you don't believe in channeling, don't read this material." Read this material anyway, and see what you take away from it. Discard what doesn't "take", and work with the rest of it. There is something for everyone here! Deigel starts out by explaining the book's perspective: that we have choices in life that we often do not see or act on because of blocks in our chakra energy system. He explains what the chakra system is, and where each of the seven major chakra's are located. Deigel does an excellent job of presenting the human energy system: the auric field, an energy field that expands to about three feet from our body; followed by our emotional and mental bodies; down to our physical body, with the seven major chakra's aligned along the spine and ending at the top of our head (or just above our head). The major precis here is that our thoughts affect our chakra's - in fact, they affect our entire energy system, and can lead to the clogging of this system with negativity. Our chakra's need to be cleared on a daily basis to work properly, as they push the energy from the lower to the higher chakra's. Once our chakra's are cleared, our thinking is clearer and more focused, and we can lead lives that are more focused on the spiritual. And this is an ongoing process, as we gather information and experiences on a daily basis. One of the major topics for me in this book was rather slid in there - some emphasis, but not a great deal. I liked the way this was done, as it won't scare anyone away from this work! The point Deigel (and Salem) was making was that the lower three chakra's deal more with the physical world, and the upper three chakra's with the spiritual world. The middle chakra, the heart chakra, acts as the mediating point between these two worlds. A lot to ponder here! Each chakra is covered in depth as to location, color, and the areas of life that it regulates. The point is also nicely made that no one chakra is responsible in toto for anything - that they are all affected by everything that we go through in life in some way. Deigel has included a well done chart on the chakra's, their location, what they govern (regulate), the effects on the body when they are cleared, and what their primary function is. There is an appendix that presents questions that Diandra has been asked in her seminars, as well as a glossary of terms. I highly recommend this book to all levels of seekers - everyone will take what they need, and be able to work with it in a very real manner.
