Last autumn, more summer than the summer itself, gave us rich possibilities to enjoy the tinges of nature. Autumn, to me, is also time for preparing, for rest and recovering, time for contemplation, with pleasure by the sea or on a nice woody hill. It´s also harvesttime for fruit and else what earth brings us. How lovely it is to enjoy a deliscious applecake with apples from your own!! Autumn is also lots of scents - faded leaves, wet wool, fruit...

Here´s the recipe of my favourite applecake: Ulla Winblads Applecake: 1 egg Mix eggs, butter, sugar and flour. Stir for some minute. Pour into a greasy and crustied dish. Peel and take the seeds from the apples. Cut them into thin wedges and mix with lemonjuice, some sugar, nuts, cinnamon and cardamom. Put the wedges on the mixture in the dish. Bake in 175°, for 25-30 minutes. Serve with vanilla icecream and/or gently whiped cream. |
