There was very few people at the portsmouth gig, but the band were fuckin amazing and i had a good time, pity that they did not sign ne thing, this pissed me off but i will get stuff signed next time i see them.
Antman @ Fleece & Firkin: dude, it was pretty dead at Bristol, but I just assumed that was cuz pitchshifter played the night before and there wasn't much promotion for the tour
Targy @ Fleece & Firkin: I went to the bristol k2t gig and it was fuckin' fantastic, but I did feel a little down hearted by the fact that there were fuck all people there and hope that the band didn't feel dishearted by this most sad thing, apart from that it was ace. Good on kill 2 this for putting on a great show.
dia_ria @ Fleece & Firkin: I went to the Bristol gig too but I did not feel at all let down....I thought that the small amount of people that were there made it more of a personal and friendly thing. I loved it sooooo much. I got to hug, kiss and drink with all of the band and had a radical time!
Stevie B @ Rock City: Rather disappointing on the whole - the band were good as always, but Rock City really didn't seem to cater for them at all - they played in The Rig, as opposed to the Basement where they normally play. The audience turnout was also poor bearing in mind how packed it was in April.Mark could barely stand up the ceiling was that low! One thing that became pretty clear from the poor turnout was that the new tour hasn't really been promoted at all. In April it was promoted all that well either, but there was a buzz about every gig, especially following the release of Trinity. I guess what I'm saying is that bearing in mind 2 bands on the bill are on its' label, Visible Noise does not appear to have done the tour justice thus far in terms of promotion. I found myself watching the band tonight wondering how they can play to around 3,000 people at Lost Weekend, most of whom knew their material, and then only 4 months later to about 50 or 60 at the most tonight. The main encouraging thing from tonight in my thoughts when I left Rock City was the performance of Steve Rooney, who seems to have brought a more aggressive edge to Kill 2 This' drumming, employing a Machine Head-esque style at times. Also, the two new tracks, provisionally titled 'Spine Glass' and 'Washed Unclean' both appeared at first listen to be two of the most mature and solid songs I've heard from the band, whilst still being very exciting.
Gilladriel @ Rock City: This was my first K2T gig and I thought they were fantastic but the venue was not really suitable and the turnout not what I would have expected. It's a wonder Mark didn't brain himself on that low ceiling and the sound system was shit! Having said that it was a great night and having met them all I can say they are such nice people! What other band would stand around in the audience and chat to punters? They definately need more promotion and we saw no evidence of the web address anywhere.
Alisun @ The Cathouse: I would however like to take this opportunity to say that the gig in question was pretty fucking cool. Er...that's it. Oh, and apologies to the support bands for my complete lack of consciousness during their sets...But respect to Mark and co. for their general grooviness...
Offkilter @ The Forum: Fuck me what a cool gig! I cant say much more than fuck me! I cant believ how small the venue was it was so fucking cool! Especially with cool people that ive missed!
Catharsis @ The Zodiac: I have to say, I was well impressed. It always shocks me that Mark can act as a frontman many bands would kill for, without ever detracting from the fact that the band already HAS a great frontman! This was the fifth time I've seen the band, and I think Caroline looked more enthusiastic than I've seen her before. New songs? Bit jumpy...good riffs but tempo changes that'll take some listening I think...
