I am a Wiccan. There are those who might not look as kindly towards my religion as others would because unfortunately, they are misinformed. So please listen with an open mind.

First and foremost I am a member of the human race. I am not always proud to say that, but I am one of you. I dream, hope, and discover life just like you...my religion does not change that.

I am also a Witch. A Wiccan, a Pagan. But I am not evil, I do not sacrifice babies or animals, and I do not hate you for our differences.

I love life. I revere Nature...rejoice in it. I have two adorable kittens, and yes, one is black. I do not dress completely in black, though it does attract positive energies. I wear hawaiin print shirts.

I believe in the Lord and the Lady. They have filled a place in both my heart and soul that I thought was previously empty. I believe that we are all connected, ergo I believe in the law of karma.I believe that nothing is a seperate entity. Art, Music, Poetry...those play a part in my beliefs as well.

I also believe in the theory Piers Anthony suggested in a book series he wrote, the Incarnations of Immortality. These are actually books in the Fantasy-Fiction genre, but it still seems realistic in a sense. He suggested that all religions are correct. If you believe in a Heaven and Hell, than you will go to the place that your soul leans towards. If you believe in reincarnation, you will come back in another life. If you don't believe in anything except that you will cease to exist, than that's what will happen. It's all relative.

It was not my intension to have a page chock-full of spells, rituals, and herbology, which is why I obviously don't have any of that here. I just want to let others know that while wannabees and the media may pervert our religion, we are nothing like that. So please, the next time you meet a Wiccan, or Pagan, or anyone of a different set of beliefs than you, don't be scared or hostile. We're pretty nice people when you give us a chance.
