We are also pledged to conveying a deeper understanding of the Hebrew roots of the Faith to Believers everywhere. We strive to discover and reveal the truth about religionists and "churchianity" which historically have ignored and/or concealed important Scriptural truths. Widely accepted "doctrines" are quite often church-traditions rather than genuine Scriptural teachings. Far too many of the cherished notions of churchianity are scripturally unsound. They developed through the centuries from human error, human custom, and pagan assimilation. The "church" likes to refer to itself as "Judeo-Christian" when, in fact, the honest label is "Christo-Pagan." The clear and obvious realities of Scripture differ widely from the doctrines, practices and beliefs of "churchianity". Any student of Scripture, who is being led by the Ruach HaKodesh (H-ly Spirit), will recognize that the Messiah of Scripture is NOT the Anglicized Greco-Roman "Jeezuz" of churchianity!!

The focus of this ministry continues to be restoration of the "Faith once delivered" which, without question, compels one to reconnect with the Hebrew roots of the Messiah and his talmidim (disciples) in his and their cultural setting of the 1st-century. It means discovering the reality of the Messiah's Torah-based Judaism. It is impossible to gain an accurate understanding of the Apostolic Writings ("New" Testament) without understanding that the Messiah of these writings was a Hebrew calling out Hebrew talmidim who followed him, a rabbi (teacher) within the Torah-based Judaism of his day. In the Gospels the Messiah claimed he came for the "lost sheep of the House of Israel" - (notice - NOT Gentiles). The Messiah's focus was on Israel - he did NOT, however, reject or deny opportunity to the Gentiles! And neither does Torah!

The apostasy which Shaul (Paul) mentions in his letter (II Thess 2:7) had already established a foothold (by the end of the 1st-century) in the movement begun by the Messiah. This very apostasy ultimately evolved, by the early 4th-century, into a full-blown competitive religious system headquartered in Rome. It was this Roman churchianity that severed any and all links to the Hebrew roots of the Messiah and began and unending policy of viscious and murderous anti-Semitism. This real history of the so-called "early church" is well documented by numerous sources, both secular and religious and reveals a methodical program of obfuscation that continues to this day. The vast majority of churchianity's concepts were codified and violently enforced by the Roman church long before Martin Luther, rightfully, came to odds with its authority.

Unfortunately, the Protestant Reformation, begun by Martin Luther in 1517 C.E. failed to seize the opportunity to return to the Hebrew roots of the Messiah. While it superficially rejected Papal authority it, nonetheless, embraced a majority of the Papal theology which preceded it. Most of the beliefs and "doctrines" of today's churchianity were created and savagely enforced by the Vatican from 325 C.E until 1517 C.E. As a result, churchianity bears no resemblance to the movement begun by Messiah. Churchianity, in fact, has its roots planted firmly in that "early" church in Rome, in spite of its vehement denial of the realities found in its own history.

We labor to restore the foundations of the Emunah (Faith) as known and observed by the Messiah and his 1st-century Believers. We struggle to return to the pure and true instructions of Scripture. We do not call ourselves "christian", but instead, "Messianic Hebrews" - in recognition of the reality of Romans 2:27 and Galatians 3:27. The implications of Romans 11:17 are the basis for the observance of the Sabbath and Feasts described in Leviticus 23 as well as the dietary stipulations of Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.

It is our aim to foster a true spirit of mishpochah (family) among Believers, whether they are Hebrew or Gentile in their ancestory. Our Edah (congregation) in Lapeer Michigan celebrates the weekly Sabbaths and Annual Festivals of Elohim (G-d). We promote observance of Torah (Instructions) in the same manner as the Messiah and his talmidim in the 1st-century.
