The Cottage is the adjoining apartment in the rear of this one hundred year old landmark. Formerly the New Hampshire Home in the early part of the last century, the house passed through private hands until 1985, when Sandra Rhodes bought it and renovated to its prior glory. Now approaching twenty years of service, the Rhodeside Guest House continues to delight travellers and vacation goers, young and old alike.

First time visitors step up to the wrap around porch of the Guest House and admire its commanding view of the approach to downtown. Soon after settling in, the porch often acts a staging area for the day's activities, and then stands in as a place to relax while all recount the day's events in the evening. The porch comes equipped with a full size gas grill, easy seating, and a table for outdoor meals. The Cottage has its own driveway and access, or one can walk around the porch.

Entering the Cottage, one immediately sees the kitchen, dining table and den (living room). Quite spacious, the kitchen and dining area is capable of entertaining sizable get to gethers, or if you wish, just right for a small family. Besides the large table, the kitchen also has a full sized refrigerator, dish washer, and microwave. This area also has a convenient washing machine, saving you trips to the coin-op!

The den, like the living areas in the other apartments, has a comfortable couch and chair, along with a TV. Its perfect to relax in and kick up your feet and watch some movies, or better yet, curl up with a good novel. The couch is also a queen sleeper.

The bedroom is past the kitchen and up a short stairway. Bright and airy, the bedroom comes equipped with plenty of drawer space and a small reading desk to put your laptop on. With the living and kitchen areas on the first floor and the bedroom on the second, you feel like you're renting a whole house instead of an apartment! There is a half bath on the first floor and and full bath on the second, next to the bedroom. Linens and towels are supplied.
