The Sink Was Full Of Fishes
"Everything we fight and suffer for,or it would vanish in face of Love,or it is Love"
Chapter 5 Page 7
On the waves of their football passions the two started chatting and laughing like two old friends that weren't meeting since long time.
A perfect chemistry stood between them since that first, unexpected meeting weeks before and it seemed then natural they had to step off from Tube at the same station: they were like expecting the other to be forcedly belongin to the same part of the town.
"So you live around here?"
"Yep: my Company found me this flat..."
"Fantastic! You live less than half mile from my house and this makes me feel cool. You feel cool to me...darn, it's about time I ask you your name man... Mine's Jill!"
And he offered his right grasp, immediately taken up by the Italian guy:
"You can call me Steve, like my friends do.It's very pleasing for me to meet you. You're my first new friend in this town.
Take my number, so we can go out sometime soon."
They exchanged their portatile numbers, their addresses and emails and finally said bye to one another, with the positive feeling inside they were going to meet one another often from then onwards.
Jill thought about the fact Melania would have loved the story of their meetings, and guessed she would have liked the spirit funny and talkative of her Countryman once she would have met him as well.
"She's gonna name all this Destiny, I know..."
Keeping figuring scenes in his mind and projecting ahead situations, he thought it would have been perfect if Kass and Steve would have known one another:
"They could rock together!"
Jill knew Kass well to be assured Steve were the kind of man she prediliged. And with the perspective of leaving her with another man in her heart he felt better. Everything was getting to a good configuration he confessed to himself.
And as night fell down, enchanted by Melania's pictures, fascinated by her eyes he truly was feeling bewitched by, Jill found in himself the hold hope and expectation about the future he wanted. There were still a house, a wife and kids in his heart: in ten days or ten years, that wasn't the point.
They were still there.
Jill met Steve the subsequent day, as he got a call asking for some help for the house customization.
Jill accepted moved also by the curiosity about what kind of place could be the one of such a peculiar fella... and he found that his house was half empty still: the majority of furnishing items were yet to come in.
"Steve, you got fooled: look, everything's to be painted, and your walls are brown..."
"It was my option to take off the horrible wallpaper coloured rat-grey that was up: it was makin me feel into psychiatric room!Anyway, I have paint buckets, and I have already decided which colour will be put in each room.
Let's start with the kitchen, that's gonna be fresh green..."
"Now that's a resounding name for such a hole... "Kitchen"... that looks more like a lumber-room in my opinion...ehehehe!"
"Listen you... that's a KITCHEN, the fabulous kitchen of my own new house...Fabulous new one gotta say... and you can speak when you will have a personal one too darlin right? And my kitchen will be green, the bathroom is gonna be blue, the living room yellow while the bedroom will shine in pink..."
"Did you say PINK?!? God this is too much... I faint for laughing..."
"I didn't say Barbie-pink man...you are not thinkin military-like everything that's pink is gaysh won't you?And after all I wouldn't care anyway, I have no sexual doubts myself. The pink is gonna be very light and matte, and with it the furnishing in black and cream will get their highlightening background you'll see!"
And they betted about whom will have got reason on that choice. Then they started to work side by side, in total harmony.
