~ An Ancient Chinese Proverb ~

SEPTEMBER 25th, 2007

We took our new Chinese Wal-Mart stroller for a ride today and Lola loved it!...

First stroller ride

We used it at "Monkey Park" a beautiful park in the middle of town that supposedly has Rhesus monkeys running around the grounds. We saw none. Just another socialist lie.

We rode a rather old-looking gondola to the top of the mountain to visit the Buddhist Temple in the park. The landscape was just gorgeous and green.

Buddhist Temple

We offered prayers to Buddha for Lola and our family's past, present and future. Today was the beginning of the Fall Festival, so there were many people there saying prayers and lighting incense. A monk offered a blessing for our family. It never hurts to have all the good karma you can get!

Local government officials, ever mindful of the public's safety, have issued a stern warning about mountainside sport, which is apparently quite risky...

No Badminton!
