We Made It to Guangzhou in One Piece (more or less)...

Today was a long travel day, and we made it to Guangzhou safely. Our one-hour flight from Nanchang to Guangzhou was about an eight-hour process in total including getting to the airport early, getting picked up in Guangzhou and checked in at the hotel. One interesting aspect of the flight was that they passed out dinner before we pulled away from the gate, and the plane took off while everyone still had their food in front of them. This was definitely a first for all the Americans on the plane.

On top of the long ordeal with a bunch of babies, Alex also wasn't feeling well (before anyone worries too much, he is fine now). He said he didn't feel well in the morning but seemed to be doing better by the time we left for the airport after he had a long nap. However, just as boarding for our flight started, Alex started getting sick to his stomach before we could make it to a bathroom. Unfortunately, he and I ended up a mess. We cleaned up as much as we could but didn't have much time in order to make the flight. Let me just say that it was one of those moments as a parent where you just try to make it through the best you can. Dan and I were both really proud of Alex for handling it all as well as he did under the circumstances. By the time we got off the plane, he already seemed to be starting to feel better.

Needless to say, we were all exhausted and some of us stinky by the time we finally made it to the hotel. No pictures today. Don't think you would want to see them even if we had them!
