TRAVEL NEWS!

May 2nd, 2006

We're heading out to China on Wednesday morning. Our flight leaves at 8:00am. We fly to San Francisco then on to Beijing. We arrive in Beijing on Thursday afternoon about 5:00pm due to the time change. We'll spend Friday and Saturday recovering from jet lag and seeing the sites in Beijing, then we fly to Lanzhou in the Gansu Province early Sunday morning to be united with our daughter.....we are counting down the days.....literally!!

We'll check in as soon as we get to Beijing and get our computer up and running. Thank you for keeping our family in your prayers as we embark on this amazing journey to bring our daughter home.

April 5th, 2006

We have received updated pictures of our beautiful daughter and wanted to share them with you. The pictures were taken on February 28th of this year, so at that time, she was 7.5-months-old and weighed 13.9 lbs.

We have sent her three care packages so far and are anxiously waiting to travel to meet her.

March 28th, 2006

Finally we have received travel approval from the CCAA (China Center for Adoption Affairs), which means we can now apply for our visas and book our tickets to China! We will soon meet our precious daughter, Allyson!

We arrive in Beijing on May 4th and will return home on May 18th.

Our Family Day, also known in adoption circles as "Gotcha Day", is the day we'll meet our daughter. That will be May 7th! HOORAY! Allyson, Mommy and Daddy are coming!
