Name: Allen Ripley

Signature Quote: "Next person to call me Vidstudent eats a bullet."

Personal Email address: npbaxter@meer.net

  • Height: 6' 6"

  • Weight: 260 lbs

  • Build: Tall and beefy

  • Appearance: A big Caucasian guy wearing ugly military issue kevlar. He holds a largish rifle to his right side.

  • Alternate Appearance: He's wearing a ghost suit, which is an active optical camoflage suit-it looks like whatever is behind it, breaking up his outline close in and making him nigh-invisible far away. Not that this matters in the game, where it only looks cool.

  • Fighting Style: Generic Special Forces

  • Button Style: Tekken 3

  • Bio: One of the brightest stars of the Imperial Special Forces, Ripley was assigned as the Emperor's personal bodyguard.

  • Intro: Where Teotl goes, he followes.

  • Theme Songs:

    • Game Theme: The Bodyguard (Blue Nothing)

    • Main Theme: Jungle Work (Warren Zevon)

  • Stage: A training room at the Sportsplex.

  • Weapons: Imperial ATAR-2, with grenade launcher, bayonet and laser sight/designator

  • Special Skills:

    • Explosives, martial arts, shooting stuff, piloting... Standard commando set.

  • Special Resources:

    • Well, he's a member of the Imperial military, see, and can use most of their equipment...

  • Openings:

    • 1st Round: Walks on with the ATAR slung from one shoulder. He swings it down, chambers a round, and yells, "PAX IMPERIUM!"

    • Standard: Chambers a round into the ATAR

  • Taunts:

    • He utilizes a universal military skill: servere obscenity.

  • Finishing Poses:

    • Standard: He snaps a salute to his fallen opponent

    • Draw: Shrugs and salutes the other guy

    • Time Over: Shrugs and salutes the other guy

  • Victory Quotes:

    • "I gotta get a new job..."

  • Character Strategy: In most respects a moderately balanced, slowish character, he posesses the cheapest, most dangerous ranged attack in the game. He's well trained in hand to hand, and can dish out good punishment there, but the ATAR is a big edge at range. He's a closein combatant with a gun, and can be used in just about any attack strat- Just keep attacking. Kevlar is sort of like chain mail- doesn't do much for impacts. His right punch animation is a sort roundhous swing with the ATAR... Left punch is pretty normal looking, as are kicks.

  • Attacks:

    • Throws:

      • Half Circle: (forward and right punch, 5% from the bayonet, 6% from hitting the ground, tossed opponent bounces for 2%) Jabs the bayonet into (victim's) belly, lifts them into the air, while they're still stuck on it, and swings them up and over to slam into the ground behind him. Pressing a punch button while they're in the air will toss them across the stage, robbing it of a good chunk of its damage but opening the range real well. Has a longer range than most throws, because of the ATAR's length.

      • Gunbutt SLAM: (back and left punch, optionally followed by a right punch, for 5% and 4%) he whips the ATAR around to the left to hit (victim) in the jaw with the stock. If the right punch is added, he'll swing it back, hitting them again, almost as hard. Faster than HC.

    • Specials:

      • Bang: (forward and both punches, 5%) Congratulations, (victim), You've just been shot! Hitscan projectile, unblockable, fullscreen range, minimal startup and recovery. Slight delay while the gun comes up to his shoulder.

      • Somersault Kick: (up and both kicks, 7%) He jumps slightly into the air and flips 360 degrees, kicking (victim) in the jaw as his feet come up. This also serves as his launcher.

      • Gun to the Head: (up, then down and both punches, 9%) He jumps towards (victim) and raises the ATAR high, then slams the stock down on their head/neck

      • Battering Whirlwind: (back, then forward and left punch, 11%) He spins rapidly like a top, moving slowly towards (victim) with the gun stock out. If he doesn't connect within three seconds, then he'll come to a stop and wobble in place for a moment.

      • Glittering Whirlwing: (back, then forward and right punch, 15%) As with the above, only the bayonet is out, this time.

    • Supers:

      • Postal: (back then forward, then both punches, 25%) As [Bang] but he holds the trigger down for one second.

      • Grenade: (forward then right punch, then left punch, 30% at point blank range, shading down to 2% at 15 feet) He fires a grenade that detonates on contact. Not advised for close combat, as Quake explosion rules apply. Also, (victim) will be knocked flying.

    • Desperation:

      • Take The Shot: (back and both punches, 40%) he raises the ATAR to his eye and aims before he fires. Naturally, has wicked delays.

    • Ultimate Attack/Summon:

      • Close Air Suppost: (back then tap forward, then hold it, then both kicks) he calls in a laser designated airstrike, 57%, 30 ft explosion

    • Flash Finisher:

      • Inferno Laser: (up, then down, then all four attack buttons) The destroyer Limbo, in orbit above the sportspex, incinerates the opponent and everything in his immediate vicinity with its laser.

    • Team Helper:

      • None.

    • Team Supers:

      • None.

  • Glitches:

    • None.

  • Motivations:

About equal parts careerism and national loyalty. He's also mildly fond of his boss and very much more so of the boss's daughters- tho not in -that- way.

  • How Ripley talks:

While perfectly capable of unbending and acting like "one of the guys", he'll spend pretty much all his time at the GMCA in his "on duty" mode- Polite, businesslike, and perpetually watchful/paranoid. Pretty much standard MIB behavior.

  • How Ripley acts:

Dry, understated, often almost taciturn, with a punster's sense of humor and a grass roots kind of philosophical deepness.
