Codes

These codes, tips, and tricks are at your own risk!! Some of them I havn't tried so they could mess up your game or not work. If they have a * beside them, that means they work. If they have ** that means they probally work. If it has nothing beside it, then I'm not sure if it does or not.
Codes, Tips, and Tricks:

*1. Easy way to catch Ditto:

When you want to catch a Ditto, send out a week Pokémon like Magikarp. Then Ditto will transform into a Magikarp. Then you can probally catch it by throwing a pokéball at it and not having to battle it.

**2. Catch a Pokémon easyer:

When you throw a pokéball, greatball, or an ultraball at a Pokémon, hold down the A button as the Pokémon is sucked in the ball. By doing that the pokéball closes tighter.

*3. Get 99 of an item:

Put the item that you want to get 99 of, 6th on your item list. Then fly to Viridian City to the guy that shows you how to catch a Pokémon. Say YES when he asks if you are busy. When he is done showing you how to catch a Pokémon, fly to Cinabar Island. Then surf half in the water half on land, on the right side of the island. Keep on surfing up and down intill you run in to Missingo (It could also be called something else like barcode, or M'. You will know that it is the right one because the Pokémon is all blured) Battle it and faint it. Don't catch it though, because it could mess up your game. When you faint it check the item that you put in 6th place. There should be 99 of it. You can do this as with as many items as you want. I'm pretty sure it works with all items, but I've only tried it with Master Balls, and Rare Candy.

4. Get Togapi, and Pikablu (This code is for the yellow version. I'm not sure if it works for red, and blue versions.)

To get Togapi and Pikablu, bring all the forms or Eevee to Bill. (Eevee, Flarion, Joltion, and Vaporieon) Then Bill will let you behind his house. There in his backyard will be Togapi, and I think Pikablu too.

*5. Gain experience faster:

If you want one of your Pokémon to gain experience faster, put that Pokémon that you want to train at the top of your list. Then when you're battling a Pokémon or a Trainer, that Pokémon will come out first. Don't make a move with that Pokémon. Just switch it with a stronger one, and battle the opnent with the stronger Pokémon. Then after the battle, the one at the top of your list and the one you battled with got experience points.

6. Get Pokémon No. 000

If you use one Japanese version and one American version to trade. Trade 3 Times and the American Version will get Pokemon No 000. Pokemon No 000 is level 254, but he doesn't obey you at all even if you have Giovanni's Earth Badge.

7. Make a Great Ball act like a Master Ball:

When you throw a Great Ball, press UP and B. That will make the Great Ball act like a Master Ball.

**8. Saving Money

If you want to buy a large amount of one item buy three. You will discover that buying items in groups of three is free or the store pays for. (This trick only works in certain marts, and only with certain items)

*9. There are coins hidden in around in the Game Corner. To get the coins walk around pressing the A button. Some places to check for coins is around the players.

*10. How to wake up Snorlax:

To wake up Snorlax you need the Pokéflute. To get the Pokéflute go to the game corner in Cerulem City. There will be this poster at the back with a Team Rocket Member garding it. Fight the Team Rocket member the press A while you are standing infront of the poster. That will open a secret door to the basement. Go down to the basment. The basement is like a mase. Get throw it it to get to Geovanni. Beat Geovanni, then he will give you the Sliph Scope. The go to Lavender Town, and into the Pokémon Tower. Keep on going up the staires of the tower, intill you have to fight Cubones Mother. You can now see her and other ghosts, because you have the Sliph Scope. Beat Cubones Mother then go up the final staries. You will then have to fight Team Rocket members. After you fight them there is a man there who will give you the Pokéflute. Now you can go wake up Snorlax!!

**11. Celadon City slot odds:

All of the slot machines have different odds, which change every time. Play each machine 4 times, and if it hits 2 or more, then stick with that one, because it's probably hot. If the slow machine forces you really close to a 777 or Bar Bar Bar it will probably give you one or the other soon.

*12. Tip when catching Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, and Mewtwo:

Before fighting Moltres, Mewtwo, Articuno, or Zapdos, save the game. This is because you only have one chance to catch these Pokémon, so if you faint it then you won't be able to try to catch it again enless you save the game before you fight it. So save the game before you battle it, and if you faint it, just shut off your game, then turn it back on and contunue your game, and try to catch it again!!

*13. How to get a Metapod, or Kakuna that can attack:

To get a Metapod, and Kakuna that can attack, you must evolve them from Caterpie for Metapod, and Weedle for Kakuna, but they will not learn Harden, but they will also evolve after they are 3 levels as a Metapod, or a Kakuna. If you catch a Metapod, or Kakuna in the wild it will only know Harden, and won't be able to attack.

*14. How to get the Golden Teeth:

The Golden Teeth are located in Safari Zone near the Secret House. Give the Safari Zone Warden the Golden Teeth. If you do that he will give you Strenth. Teach Strenth to a Pokémon so it can then move Bolders.

*15. How to get to the Power Plant:

Go to Cerulean City, head toward Saffron but don't go to Saffron. Instead, take the path that leads East toward Rock Tunnel. Don't go into Rock Tunnel, instead go North to the water and SURF. It will lead you to Power Plant. Be Careful, some of the things that look like Poke Balls are actually Voltorbs.

**16. How to Defeat Ghosts in Lavander Town:

In Lavender Town, to defeat the Ghosts use a Poke Doll. You can get one from Celadon Dept. Store.

*17. How to get Mimic:

In Safron City there is a house where a girl lives that Mimics people. She likes Pokédolls. If you give her a Pokédoll, (You can buy a Pokédoll in The Celadon City Dept. Store) She will give you Mimic. Teach Mimic to a Pokémon, then that Pokémon can Mimic other Pokémon's attacks, that you battle.

*18. How to get a free bike:

In Vermilion City, there is a Pokémon fan club. If you listen to what the Club President says, he'll eventually give you a Bike Voucher. Take it to the Bike Shop in Cerulean City to get a bike for free! This saves a LOT of time trying to earn money to buy it!!

*19. Where to find the Moon Stones:

1. In the upper-left-hand corner of the first area of Mt. Moon. 2. In the basement of the Game Corner in Celadon City. 3. In the bottom right area of Route 2 (need CUT) 4. In the burnt down building on Cinnabar Island, check the pillars (face it and press A) on the first floor. 5. Go into Mt. Moon, then go right before the Supernerd (you battled him to get a fossil, remember?) Look to your right, there should be a corridor (about 4-5 spaces long, and 1 space wide. Press the A button at the end and it will say you found a moonstone!!

20. Fight Safari Pokémon outside of the Safari Zone:

Go to the Safari Zone and battle for a while. Lets say, you can't catch a Tauros, fight one, then leave the Safari Zone. After, go to Seafoam Island and swim up to the shore. Now, swim up and down the shore, where it looks like you're on the ground, but your swimming in the water, and you'll fight monsters from the Safari zone!! Now you can battle them using your own Pokémon!!

**21. More Damage to a Pokémon your fighting:

When you do an attack on a Pokémon when fighting it, press down the A button while your attacking, and it will do more damage.

**22. How to Reach Sabrina (The gym Leader in Saffron City):

When you enter the Saffron City gym you'll see a warp next to a trainer. Step into it. You'll appear in another room full of warps and a Trainer. Step into the warp on your left. Then step into the warp below you. Then step into the warp on your left. And then, step into the warp on your left. Once done that, you'll come in to a room with one warp and that's the one your standing on. Now talk to the trainer in the room, and get ready to defeat Sabrina.

**23. How to Clone Pokémon (US Version):

You need a friend for this. Trade the Pokémon to be cloned and have your friend get a Pokémon they don't care about. Trade them, and make sure the person getting the bad Pokémon can see the other's screen. When the receiver of the good Pokémon's screen says "waiting", get ready to shut the other one off. When the waiting disappears, turn off the Game Boy that's getting the bad Pokémon. When the other one says trade completed, turn that one off too. When you turn the games back on, you should both have the Pokémon. Warning: This could erase you game so be careful.

*24. How to easyly catch an Abra:

The first thing Abra does is teleport so it's obviously really hard to weaken it. Use the Warp attack with Ekans, or Bellsprout. With that, Abra can't move so you can weaken it enough to catch it.
