#81 A Friend or Foe Alike!

Ash is to battle Richie in the next round of the Pokémon League competition. Misty is looking up some info on the computer about him. She finds that Richie won all of his first four rounds with just one Pokémon. Ash goes to the Pokémon center, finds Richie there, who was just picking up his Pokémon. Ash promises Richie a great battle the following day. So, Ash picks up his Pokémon and returns to the small house where he is staying, to sleep for the night. The next day, they receive a phone call. It is Richie's voice, and rudely insults Misty over the phone. She hands it to Ash, and the voice tells Ash to meet him outside at a specific location he wants to talk about his Pikachu,so bring him. When Ash arrives, he finds Richie (it's a dummy, except Ash thinks it's really Richie!) and suddenly is trapped by Team Rocket. They throw him in their van and drive away, keeping Ash from the competition. Ash escapes using Squirtle to flood the van, and Team Rocket are up to their eyeballs in water. The back bursts open, and Ash starts to run back to be in time for the competition. Team Rocket get in his way again, bent on keeping him away from the league competition. He uses Bulbasaur and Pikachu to whip and shock them. He continues towards the league, but Team Rocket catch up on bicycles. They use Weezing to smog him out, but he hops on a bicycle and continues along. They catch up to him in their balloon and hook the bicycle. They start to float away, and so Pikachu is carried up by Pidgeotto to give them another big shock. Pidgeotto then starts to carry Ash toward the stadium. Meanwhile, back at the stadium, after already being given ten additional minutes after the battle was supposed to start, they are about to declare that Ash has forefit the match. Just as they almost declare Richie the winner, Ash shows up floating toward the stadium in the Team Rocket balloon. They begin the battle, and Ash sends Squirtle against Richie's Butterfree,named Happy. Squirtle Looses, and so Pikachu leaps out to battle, and defeats Happy. Richie calls his Charmander named Zibo and it defeats Pikachu. Ash is out of reliable Pokémon, as Bulbasaur would loose for sure, and so desperately sends out Charizard. Charizard actually battles, and defeats Zibo. Richie lastly sends out his Pikachu named Sparky. Charizard blows Sparky around a bit, deeming it to not be a worthy opponent, lays down for a nap. Since Charizard refused to battle, Sparky won, and Ash was defeated by Richie. Despite his immense disappointment, Ash looks up and congratulates Richie, and they are still friends in the end.

#82 Friends to the End

Ash is sad about his loss at the Pokémon League. He isn't speaking to anyone, and when Misty comes in to try to cheer him up, it quickly turns into a argument between the two. Pikachu brings a quick finish to the argument with a Thundershock on everyone! Ash and the gang decide to head out to cheer on Richie for his 6th round. Richie fights the match hard, and unfortunately loses. After coming out of the match, Richie is determined to try harder for next year, which inspires Ash to do just the same,Ash feels bad because he was acting like a baby and Richie is happy. As they talk, both their Pikachu's play behind them, until they fall into a hole dug by Team Rocket. They rush to save their Pikachu, but fall into another hole. Ash struggles to get out, but upon sliding back down, the hole collapses into deeper inside the ground. Jessie and James fish out the two Pikachu from the other hole and trap them in a cage. They get out of the hole with the help of their Pokémon Pidgeotto, and Happy, and defeat Team Rocket. Back at the Pokémon League it's the closing ceremonies, and they receive their badges for participating, and are treated to a great display of fireworks. Team Rocket try to dig below the arena to get in, but end up being blown away along with the fireworks. Ash says goodbye to Richie and proceeds back home to Pallet Town.

#83 Pallet Party Panic

Back in Pallet Town, Ash is congratulated with a party for representing the town so well in the Pokémon League,and for getting in the Top 16. The gang decide to have their Pokémon out for the party, as they deserve recognition as well for their hard work. Charizard stays inside, for obvious reasons. Ash goes to a food stand to order for the party. It is secretly run by Team Rocket, Jessie, James and Meowth spice up the food to an extreme to distract the people and take their Pokémon. They fail, and get a taste of their own recipes, and they convert their stand into the balloon. They have managed to steal Pikachu and are floating away with Pikachu dangling below. Ash tries to stop them, Pidgeotto bursts the balloon, but they have a backup, and continue to float. They begin to drop piles of bombs on the party, the people scatter to escape being blown to bits. In a desperate move, Ash sends out Charizard who is more interested in lunch, then saving Pikachu. That is, until one of Team Rocket's bombs explodes on the food table, which makes Charizard furious. Charizard flies up towards the balloon, they toss some more bombs, and Charizard flings the bombs right back at them. The balloon explodes, and Ash get back Pikachu. After the incident, as proof he still isn't obedient, Charizard blows a huge fireball at Ash, burning him to a crisp. Back at Oak's lab, Ash is asked to go to the Valencia Islands to get a mysterious Pokeball from Professor Ivy. On their way out of Pallet Town, they are attacked by a Fearow, the same Spearow that Ash had thrown the rock at in the first episode. Ash ends up in the same tree that Team Rocket crashed into, and are glared upon by some Pidgey and Pidgeotto who are hiding from the other Spearow. Ash shakes Team Rocket out of the tree, and calls out Pidgeotto to lead them out of the tree. The Fearow attacks, hurting Pidgeotto, but determined to win, it evolves into Pidgeot who then defeats the Fearow. Pidgeot stays behind to guard the Pidgey and Pidgeotto from that Fearow til ash comes back to pick him up. And the gang continue on their way towards the Valencia Islands,and journey into the "Orange Pinicila.

#84 A Scare in the Air

The gang stop at a convenience store to pick up enough food and supplies to last them the at least 2 weeks journey to the islands, they spot a booth where they are having a contest and the lucky winner gets a free ride to Valencia Islands by blimp. Ash's gets really lucky and wins it. They approach the Blimp which seems broken down and old looking before they get on the blimp they ask some guys if they are the pilots, the people say "Are you kidding I hear there is a goast in that blimp, I wouln't ride that if you gave me a million dollars!". It is secretly controlled by Team Rocket's blimp brigade, you see Giovanni contacted Jessie, James, and Meowth to run the blimp, he wants it to crash to get insurence.  Jessie and James guide them to their 'first class' seats. Jigglypuff hitches a ride too by thinking a switch was a mike and gets caught on a rope when the blimp started up. The blimp is very tippy and Team Rocket can't control it. After stablizing, Misty notices Togepi is missing. They search everywhere, but first spot Jigglypuff under a white sheet, and think he is the goast and gets scared. Misty spots Togepi high up and goes after it, Bulbasaur helping her to keep balance on the thin rails. Misty saves Togepi, they crash, but nobody gets hurt.

# 83 PokéBall Peril

They are on the island, and they are searching for Professor Ivy. They find some girls and ask them where she is. They are directed to her, where they see a Gyarados who she has trained. She shows them the GS Ball, it is a mysterious Pokéball with special properties, that they can't open it, and it can't be transported. They tell Professor Oak about it over the phone. So, they are to give it to Professor Oak for examination. They go out to look at some of the Pokémon on the island. They notice they look different, which is because of the different climate on the island. There is a Butterfree that won't eat, but Brock prepares something it will eat, because it tastes good. Brock proceeds to clean up the girls' kitchen and do some other things. He joins Ivy on a late night observing session, as they watch a the Vileplume spread their pollen, a Raticate gets in the way and begins to suffer. Ivy leaps out to save it, but gets caught in the pollen, they are both rushed to Nurse Joy who tells them they are going to both be okay. The gang begin to head off, except Brock decides to stay behind and take care of things. They proceed back to find the blimps looking new and fresh. When they get on board, Team Rocket trap Ash and Misty in the cage. They make a few jokes about Ash and Misty loving each other, they both blush, and Jigglypuff jumps out to start singing. Team Rocket make it off the blimp with Jigglypuff riding on the top of their parachute, but Ash, Misty and their Pokémon are trapped on the blimp, what will happen to them? #86 The Lost Lapras

The blimp crashes on an island which they think is deserted. They are suddenly surprised by a small group of old tourists who are specifically interested in Pikachu. They arrive in Pokémon Park, a tourist destination on the island, and they spot a group of guys beating on a Lapras with a stick. They rush to stop them, and they all start a Pokémon battle. They are interrupted by a boy named Tracy who is studying the Pokémon. He makes a few comments on the health of each of the Pokémon, then comes upon Pikachu, and asks to measure Pikachu's voltage. The gang behind him attack, and Pikachu chases them all away with a thunder bolt. A demonstration good enough for Tracy. They enter the Pokémon center to help Lapras, and they notice a sign that is advertising the Orange League. In order to enter the Orange League, you must first defeat the Orange Crew, and then you can compete at various gyms throughout the Orange League. Ash is excited at the possibility of competing in this, and rushes to phone Professor Oak to ask if he'd mind a delay in getting the GS Ball. Tracy is excited to see Ash and Misty talking to Professor Oak, he always wanted to meet Professor Oak, and so he decides to come along with Ash and Misty so he can go to Pallet to meet him. They try to think of ways to make Lapras feel better, even a lullaby, but Jigglypuff takes that as her cue, and puts everyone to sleep, and scribbles on everyones faces. After waking up, Team Rocket burst in with a trap, and attempt to steal Lapras. They begin to ride away as Ash and the gang catch up to them with Bicycles with the help of Tracy's Venonat locating them. They jump onto the truck, and manage to get rid of Team Rocket, and try to steer the free rolling back of the truck around a few edges of the cliff. They make it, and Lapras gains a trust for Ash, and decides to go with him.

#87 Fit To Be Tide

Ash, Misty and Tracy riding on Lapras decide to go to Maikan Island to compete in one of the Orange League gyms. When they arrive Ash discovers a coconut on the ground. Hungry, he picks it up, and water splashes down on him. It was a trap set by the little brother of the Maikan gym leader (which Sissy, the gym leader calls him "Brat"). Sissy accepts Ash's challenge for a gym match, and they enter the gym. Ash is surpised to find out that this is a test of skill, rather than a battle. The first skill match is knocking down drink cans with a water gun attack. Ash uses Squirtle against her Seadra. The match ends up to be a draw. Then, they try to hit plates shot into the air, Ash ties with the gym leader again. Then, they decide to have a race in the water, the first one around the pole wins. Ash uses Lapras against her Blastoise. Before the match can begin, Team Rocket intrudes, and tell of their dramatic hard time sinking to the bottom in their Mecha-Magikarp (that's right Magikarp, not Gyrados). Then, they steal Blastoise and get away. They are stopped again because they can't peddle their sub, because of the seaweed.   They push very hard, but simply break the peddles. Blastoise swims out and returns to the shore dragging Team Rocket along. They are defeated and blast off again as usual, and the race begins. It is a close race all the way, both Pokémon using various techinques to gain the advantage. Near the end, Lapras uses an ice beam to freeze the water in front and slides all the way to victory, but only by a nose. Ash recieves the badge, which is shaped like a seashell,as all Orange League badges are. The seashell badge has a "eye" on it which I believed to be called a "eye badge". And they all ride off on Lapras, towards another island.

#88 Pikachu Re-Volts

Ash, Misty, and Tracy are riding Lapras and Tracy tells them they are going to "Manderan" Island. Of course Misty expects something tropical but ends up to be a skyscaper, tall building kind of island. They arrive on the island when they spot some guys and there Pokemon attacking them. Ash and co. try to stop whatever is going on but ends up Pikachu and Togepi end up mean and make this feakey face at their trainers  and of course Ash trys to get Pikachu back but these magnimite shock him and a cloud of dust appears and Pikachu dissapers, along with Togepi and the other Pokemon who were attacking those other men. Ash and co. go to Officer Jenny and there are some other people who there Pokemon just disspered and turned against them. All of the sudden Jenny's face turns into a Gastly, but ends up that was not her face the gastly did not get affected by whatever was going on. So she and Gastly are trying to find out about this mystery about the Pokemon. Meanwhile Team Rocket arrived on the Island and comment about it like Manderan Island being "The Big Orange", when all of the sudden Meowth is affected by what ever is going on with the Pokemon. And goes to this building with a satilite on top of it, he goes though this peep hole that looks like a slide, and of course Jessie and James follow Meowth and goes through this "Slide". And ends up on the floor when all of the sudden Cassidy and Butch appear and they Jessie and James ask them about how they got out of jail, there response, the boss bailed them. Cassidy also told Jessie she was going to get fired, but that was a rumore. Any way J&J start to to the motto but get enterupted by Cassidy and Butch and start fighting about the motto. Meanwhile after Cassidy and Butch show how they did it all, it turns up a Drowzee did it all sent waves to Pokemon to turn against trainers and go to there "hideout" J&J send out ALL of there Pokemon but they get hypmotisted and turned against them. All of the sudden J&J are in the Pokemon center and Ash, Misty,Tracy and Jenny are looking at them and they are REALLY crying and they tell them what happend. ash and co. ask they could help them, J&J first say no but then give in for there Pokemon's sake. So J&J are carring a cart full of Pokeballs to the building or C&B hideout and they tell them they are for the Pokemon to so they can carry them. All of the sudden cassidy gets  a feeling they are not telling the truth. But before she can do anything Ash and co. jump out of the cart. and try to stop them. But the Pokemon all turn against them, and Ash trys to stop Drowzee rom the hypmotisym, however Pikachu gets in the way and trys to shock Ash, but Ash gets a idea (that's a first LOL). Anyways He finally goes next to where Drowzee is standing and lets Pikachu shock him. Pikachu shocks Ash and the shock also hits drowzee so that makes Drowzee stop and all the Pokemon snap it reality and of course Pikachu goes rights into Ash's arms. Meanwhile the shock burns down the building. But Cassidy and Butch do not give up and make Drowzee do Metronome and that makes Togepi go to and pretty soon the whole place blows up. Cassidy and Butch get arrested and Ash and co. sail to the next island.

#89 The Crystal Onix

While going through the water, the gang encounter a note in a bottle. Ash opens it and reads about someone wanting to see someone who knows about Crystal Onix. Ash is interested, and heads for the island. He finds a little girl who is selling little glass figures at a stand, and isn't successful. They are all figures made by her older brother. They go to meet him and he complains that he can't make a good glass statue. He says that his grandfather who made great glass statues got his inspiration from a real Crystal Onix. The gang agree to help him find the Onix. First, Tracy uses Venonat to look for it, but finds useless stuff. Then, Tracy calles out his Marill. Marill leads them to an island where it thinks Crystal Onix is. Before getting to it, they fall into a trap by Team Rocket, who rush ahead, and get caught in all the other traps they had set for Ash and the gang. Then, they pass Team Rocket, stuck in their own traps, to get underground and Marill swims around looking. Then, after some looking and calling, Crystal Onix comes out. The boy starts to battle the Onix using water attacks. They have no effect, but then he realizes he can be successful if he uses heat. He calls out a Charmeleon, and manages to weaken the Onix. Just before it is about to fall, it gives him the perfect inspiration, and then it crashes into the water. Back, at the shop, he makes his inspiration. He is making it as a gift for Ash. Walking away to leave the island, Ash looks to admire his new crystal Pikachu.

#90 In The Pink

The gang are continuing through the Orange Archipelago on Lapras just as they are swallowed up into a big whirlpool. They land on Pinkan Island and follow Tracy up a cliff where they find a pink Rhyhorn. Tracy hides and draws a sketch of it. Ash wonders if he can walk so close to it, and before anyone can stop him he goes right up to the Rydon. Ash starts to pet it's horn and it gets scared so it attacks. They are near the edge of the cliff just as Togepi waves it's arms and they're teleported out of danger. Unfortunately the Rhyhorn falls over without the gang there to block it. Officer Jenny comes by and informs them they cannot be there because it is a protected Pokémon reserve. They bring the Rhyhorn back up and it wasn't hurt. Meanwhile, Team Rocket landed on the island and began searching for pink Pokémon. They spot a pink Jigglypuff! But, Jigglypuff is always pink so it's no good. They wonder around and soon discover there are tons of them and all rare because of their Pink color. They attempt to capture two pink Nidoran's, but are stopped by a pink Nidoking. Just then, Officer Jenny and the group arrive in a van to find the Nidoking. They try to stop it with other Pokemon, but that doesn't work. Again Togepi saves them with a barrier attack and it stops Nidoking long enough for them to get out of the van and Jenny to  to stop Nidoking. Eventually she gets a rope around it. After things are all tied up, they leave the island and promise not to tell people about it for fear someone wants to capture Pokemon from the island to use for shows.

#91 Sheel Shock

Ash and the group are riding on Lapras and all of the sudden 2 BIG boats come zooming by to a island not to far from them.  They arrive at the island to find a T.V. lady filming a report on something, behind the lady there are explores.  The T.V. lady is doing a report on a Kabuto fossil found by fisherman on the island.  The explorers are lead by none other then Nurse Joy!!  They explain that they are in search for the legendary extinct Kabuto, and Ash and the gang want to search too.  After a while a very big rock was pushed down a hill by a shodowy figure, which no one saw.  Later (oh ya by the way the rock was stopped by Pokemon)   they go to this mysterious bay, and start to search there, another rock falls but they escape.  Later another rock falls but Pikachu see's the figure and chases it, Ash see's Pikachu chasing it and starts to chase it also.  The shadowy figure reveals himself, he tells them to get off the island, and also tells them a predicament, the predicament goes like this:  If a preditor comes on the island a purple moon will come out at night and water will flood land. At this same moment a explorer comes running and says he found somemore fossils.  The whole group even the man goes to this cave and they find tens of thousands of Kabuto fossils, pretty soon Team Rocket comes and steals all of the Kabuto fossils!!  But the moon is purple and the Kabuto fossils suddenly come real! And the cave colapses and they run up to the forrest, it turns up that the island is made from Kabuto all the fossils make the island.  They all make a raft and pretty soon the island is gone, and the Kabuto sail to find another place where they can live in peace.

#92 Stage Fight!

Ash and friends come upon a Pokémon showboat. They are running a show inside, and so they go to see it. They watch as all the Pokémon start talking and act out a play. They are very impressed that the Pokémon can talk, but at the same time, Togepi wanders off from Misty, and goes backstage. They follow Togepi backstage to notice that the Pokémon aren't actually talking, but there are voice actors backstage performing the voices to the Pokémon's mouth movements. A girl who is supposed to be part of the show notices Pikachu and Ash together, and comments on how lucky they are that they get along so well. She isn't doing so well with her Raichu. By request of the girl, Ash tries to help Raichu and her get along better. It doesn't help until Team Rocket intrude and she jumps to save Raichu from hitting against a wall. Team Rocket threaten to explode the boat if they don't follow their orders, so they agree. All tied up, they go to try to make friends with the Pokémon they're stealing, but they aren't exactly thrilled to be friends. Hitmonchan punches James in the face really hard given a nod by it's tied up master peeking in. Then all the Pokémon agree to do the voice thing with all their voice actors standing behind Team Rocket. As they start to "talk" Meowth quite suddenly becomes sympathetic with them, remembering the hard times he went through learning to talk. So, James calls on Victreebel who only bites onto his head again, so Jessie orders Weezing to blow gas, and ends up choking everyone. So, after Raichu and the girl make up, they finally defeat Team Rocket. After the event, it seems one of the actors lost his voice, and can't do the show, so Raichu and the girl, as well as Ash and Pikachu volunteer to fill the spot. They sing the show's theme song (Pokemon World) to entertain the audience, and seem quite happy to do it.

93. Secret of Fossils

A fossil was found on an island, a party of excavators, along with TV crews, is sent to it for examining and excavation. Ash and his friends happen to see that, and want to go with them. Then they discover fossils, as the moon turns red, catching the light, Fossils turn into living creatures, and head to the sea. The island starts to shake, making people realize that the island has been made up of  Fossils. They narrowly escape, seeing Fossils swimming away.

94. Dance! Pokemon Showboat!

Ash and his friends see a Pokemon showboat. They stage a drama in which Pokemon act with the humans dubbing (Strange). There is a Raichu, whose trainer is Kei, and he is too shy and cowardly, so he cann`t perform on the stage. Kei tells Ash and other kids the story when he came to join the boat; Raichu liked her and he hugged her, accidently shocking her. She pushed him away, and he was sad. She is also scared to touch him. Team Rocket intrudes the boat, in hope of capturing Pokemon there. Pokemon and the trainers help each other, fighting the villains. However, Raichu is frightened, but when he sees his trainer shilding him to risk herself, he make up his mind to hel. With other Pokemon and trainers, he and Kei confront Team Rocket, successfully driving them away. Now Raichu is important to the Showboat, and can play his role on the stage. Pikachu, wearing a taxedo, appears on the stage, dancing with Raichu and other Pokemon. (odd)

95. Bye, Psyduck! Hello, Golduck?

Pikachu, Togepy and Psyduck are on the back of Lapras floating in the sea. After a while, Psyduck slides down the back of Lapras, and falls into the sea,no one notices it. When they can't find him around, Misty, go panics,because he can't swim though he is a duck (Ha ha).A girl named Tsubaki saves him and takes him to the beach where they are. She likes water Pokemon like Misty, and want to duel with each other. During the battle, Misty is going to send Psyduck, because Tsubaki also has one too. The pokeball of Psyduck is in her sack, so askes Ash to take and bring it to her. Ash throws it toward her, but it drops into the sea which.When she goes to get it  she sees a Golduck near her and thinking that her Psyduck evolved.Later, Team Rocket intrudes stopping the battle. After Team Rocket loses, they resume the battle, and Misty's Golduck wins. Quite pleased, Misty takes his pokeball to withdraw him, and suprised--as Psyduck comes out of it. She and her friends are confused for a moment, but realize that Golduck is wild, not her Psyduck's evolution.

96. The Sailing Nurse

Ash and his friends see a nurse of a Pokemon center traveling in the sea. Some islands dont have a Pokemon center on it, so she likes to go to each of them, caring for the Pokemon in it, becauseshe was saved by Magikarp when she was a little girl. Ash wants to help her, and Pikachu and other kids agree with him. However, when she needs to go to cure a baby Seel, Team Rocket appears and attacks them, planning to capture Pikachu. They, including the nurse, think that they are helpful and don't know what to do, Magikarp, the nurse's friend, comes to help her. The villains try to drive him away, as he evolves to Gyarados. He attacks the gang, beating them....badly.

97. Battle on Snow Mountain

To gain the Navel badge for the Orange league, Ash and his friends go to Navel island, and see a young man named Dan who is going to the gym too. They enter the gym, facing a rocky mountain and a cablecar beside it. Pikachu sees a board which reads that competition should climb the mountain without Pokemon's help. Their friends can use the cablecar, Misty and Kenji get into it, carried to the top of the mountain, while Ash starts up the steep Moutain, following Pikachu and Dan. Having a hard time along the way. Halfway up Team Rocket intrudes his to try to capture Pikachu as usual. Dan helps the Ash and Pikachu escape the villains's attack, and successfully drivesthem away. When they arrive at the  top of the mountain, Ash is told that Dan is the gym leader. He says that Ash can challenge him because he has overcome the hard work on the mountain with his own might. Although Team Rocket interupts the duel again, taking Pikachu away, the two rivals help each other to get him back. After defeating the gang, they resume the fight, and Ash wins. He wins Navel badge.

98. Snorlax Panic!

Ash and his friends arrive at Shaddock islands, each one covered with shaddock trees. They land one of them, seeing the fruits ripe on branches of trees, and Ash takes one of them, as a woman runs toward them, crying, "thieves!" He looks around for theives, but finds that she is talking about him. After he explains, she says her name is Nana. He wants to help her. Soon after, they find out that Snorlax is eating eveything Snorlax shows up and begins to eat the shaddocks. Ash and Misty send their Pokemon, commanding to fight him, but they are no match for him. While Nana and kids are annoyed, Snorlax has eaten up all fruits in a couple of islands, and swims to reach another island. Jigglypuff shows up. They plan to let her sing him to sleep. She begins to sing. Half Asleep Ash and his Pokemon fight a drowsey Snorlax and he captures him.

99. Phantom Ship

The championship cup of the Orange League from 300 years ago was excavated on Sudachi island. Ash and his party happen to be there, and go to the museun in which the trophy is displayed, learning that it has been stolen. Later they find that it is Team Rocket's work, and chase them to the sea. An old, ruined ship is in their way, and both parties get board accidently. No one is found on it, as if it is a phantom ship, when Togepy accidently falls into a split on the deck. They go downstars, looking for the baby Pokemon, and find a Ghastly and Hunter playing with Togepy. They explain that the ship was owned by their trainer, who won the Orange League 300 years ago, but later it sank in a storm. The two ghost Pokemon have stayed on the ship protecting the trophy, because it is the treasure of their friend who is now dead. Ash gives it back to them.

100. Meowth's Island

While Ash and his friends are traveling on Lapras, Team Rocket attacks. Ash sends Squirtle, commanding him to drive the gang away.The Gang falls into the sea. Meowth finds himself on an island alone after the battle with Squirtle, seeing many people around him, and a moment later is told that the island people worship Meowth as a god (he he), believing that he or she brings happiness to them. Meowth is happy. Although Ash's party, Jessie, and James also arrive at the island, Meowth orders people to drive them back, explaining that they are unhappy spirits. Team Rocket gets angry at his ego, but recognize that their friend can be happy there, deciding to leave him. The poo hits the fan when people of the island mention the ceremony of happiness which isnt reall that happy. Meowth has to be involved. However, the ceremony is difficult for him, and Jessie and James can't bear seeing him in trouble. They show up to help him, and take him back. As they leave, Meowth tells people that he can't bring happiness to them, but he has friends with whom he seeks for happiness, so they should try something to find happiness themseves.
