Middlesboro held on down the stretch to earn a 44-36 victory over Hazard. Middlesboro led 38-36 with less than two minutes left in the game and scored on a 22 yard pass from Deakon Partin to Joseph Killion on a third and long clutch play. Hazard stopped Middlesboro on a two point conversion attempt leaving the score at 44-36. Hazard had one more opportunity but on a fourth and ten play Hazard QB William Shoptaw was pushed out of bounds short of the eight yard line inches short of a first down ensuring the victory for the Yellowjackets. Middlesboro recorded 452 yards of total offense while Hazard rolled up 500 yards.

Caden Lawson led Middlesboro’s ground game with 107 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Jacob Tinnell added 40 yards on nine carries. Colby Lawson recorded 32 yards on nine carries. Malachi Coots chipped in with 24 yards on six carries. Deakon Partin carried the ball seven times for eight yards and two touchdowns. Deakon Partin completed 16 of 21 passes for 241 yards and three touchdowns. Joseph Killion caught five passes for 113 yards and one touchdown. Amari Houston added one reception for 35 yards. Caden Lawson recorded three receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown. Mekhi Young chipped in with two receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown. Malachi Coots added two catches for 23 yards. Colt Brayless and Jacob Tinnell each recorded 11 tackles to lead the defense. Kordell Partin added eight tackles. Colby Lawson and Joseph Killion each recorded seven tackles and Amari Houston recovered four tackles and recovered a fumble.

Gavin Johnson led the Hazard ground game with 108 yards on 18 carries. Cameron Miller carried the ball 14 times for 67 yards and four touchdowns. William Shoptaw completed 22 of 34 passes for 315 yards and two touchdowns. Connor Holbrook caught nine passes for 130 yards and a touchdown. Korbin Fletcher added four passes for 94 yards. Gavin Johnson recorded six catches for 71 yards. Javion Fullwood caught three passes for 20 yards and a touchdown. Gavin Johnson led the defense with five solo and seven assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Cody Hill added four solo and eight assisted tackles. Tanner Goins recorded five solo and six assisted tackles. Reyce Lindon chipped in with seven solo and three assisted tackles. Connor Holbrook added seven solo and one assisted tackles. Jackson Deaton recorded three solo and seven assisted tackles. Chris Partin added four solo and three assisted tackles. Titus Holland recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.

South Warren scored 22 unanswered points in the third quarter to pull away for a 51-23 victory over Hopkinsville. This was the last football game for Hopkinsville because they will be consolidated with Christian County next season. South Warren recorded 522 yards while Hopkinsville recorded 256 yards of total offense.

Jamir Boards led South Warren’s ground game with 80 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries. Kayden York carried the ball nine times for 72 yards and two touchdowns. Jake Carter carried the ball twice for 12 yards and a touchdown. Camden Page recorded 10 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Camden Page completed 13 of 15 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown. Chase Bell completed seven of nine passes for 104 yards. Jake Carter caught nine passes for 144 yards. Tucker Sears caught three passes for 59 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Bridges recorded two receptions for 41 yards. Griffin Reynolds chipped in with two receptions for 37 yards. Justin Capps added two catches for 26 yards. Kayden York caught one pass for 17 yards. Cole Kuzma led the defense with one solo and seven assisted tackles. Takyon Darden added five assisted tackles. Drayson Moore recorded two solo and two assisted tackles. Clay Helton chipped in with four assisted tackles. Ryley Oller added two solo and two assisted tackles. Malik Butler recorded one solo and three assisted tackles.

James Bradley led Hopkinsville’s ground game with 59 yards on 16 carries. Jeremiah Smith carried the ball twice for three yards. Jasiah McCarley completed nine of 18 passes for 194 yards and three touchdowns. Aiden Jesse caught seven passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns. Jordon Catlett led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles. Foster Jackson added three solo and four assisted tackles. Tavaress Burgess recorded three solo and three assisted tackles. Jordon Duerson recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.

Covington Catholic trailed late in the game by a score of 29-28 but scored on a 29 yard run by Dylan Gaiser and added a two point conversion on a pass to Gaiser from Cash Harney to make the final score 36-29. Johnson Central had one last opportunity from the Covington Catholic 10 yard line but Brady Guard deflected a pass in the end zone to end the scoring opportunity and knock Johnson Central from the unbeaten ranks. This was a game of contrasts as Johnson Central moved up and down at will utilizing their potent triple option attack and totally controlling the clock (78 plays run as opposed to 19 for CovCath). Covington Catholic countered with their quick strike offense with scoring plays of 65, 80, 42, 47, and 29 yards. Covington Catholic recorded seven first downs and 309 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized three times for 20 yards. Johnson Central recorded 27 first downs and 458 yards of total offense. The Golden Eagles were penalized three times for 25 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Cash Harney led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 161 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. Dylan Gaiser carried the ball five times for 144 yards and three touchdowns. Cash Harney completed one of five passes for nine yards. Zach Brooks caught one pass for nine yards. Dylan Gaiser returned one punt for nine yards. Mac Cogswell returned two kickoffs for 82 yards with a long return of 48 yards. Dylan Gaiser and Cash Myers each returned one kickoff for 12 and nine yards respectively. Cash Myers led the defense with 15 solo and seven assisted tackles. Brady Guard added 12 solo and seven assisted tackles. Johnny Lind recorded 11 solo and three assisted tackles. Owen Pitzer chipped in with six solo and one assisted tackles. Mitchell Wolff added five solo and five assisted tackles. Dylan Gaiser recorded four solo and four assisted tackles. Luke Lampe intercepted a pass.

Braxton Perry led Johnson Central’s ground game with 238 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. Logan Music carried the ball 18 times for 111 yards and a touchdown. Collin Cantrell recorded 37 yards on 14 carries. Austin Slone chipped in with 23 yards on five carries. JD Morris carried the ball three times for 24 yards and a touchdown. Bryson Music carried the ball twice for 16 yards. Logan Marrow added nine yards on three carries. Austin Slone was zero of three in passing attempts with one interception. JD Morris returned one punt for 10 yards. Rylan Kelsey returned four kickoffs for 52 yards with a long return of 16 yards. Braxton Perry returned one kickoff for 16 yards. JD Morris returned one kickoff for five yards. Gabe Blackburn, Brennon Daniels, and Chase Preece each recorded two solo tackles to lead the defense.

Highlands defeated Ashland Blazer by the score of 45-7. The highlight of the night once again involved Tayden Lorenzen in the second quarter as he intercepted a pass in the end zone, raced to the 25 and lateraled the ball to Michael Tincher who raced down field for the touchdown. Highland recorded 378 yards of total offense while holding Ashland to 205 yards.

Colt Kremer led Highland’s ground game with 72 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Rio Litmer carried the ball six times for 57 yards and two touchdowns. Kendell Fennell recorded 33 yards on six carries. Rio Litmer completed six of 12 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown. Bryce Armstrong completed his only pass for a 64 yard touchdown pass. Peyton Klosterman caught one pass for 64 yards. Tayden Lorenzen added two receptions for 53 yards and two touchdowns. John Feldbrugge added two receptions for 39 yards. Cale Harris recorded one catch for 28 yards. Chase Jacobs led the defense with five solo tackles. Jaxon Roderick added three solo and one assisted tackles. Isaac Niemann recorded two solo and two assisted tackles. Max Merz chipped in with three solo tackles. Jayden Lorenzen intercepted a pass he returned 25 yards.

Cameron Davis led Ashland’s ground game with 22 yards on seven carries. Brody Simpkins carried the ball six times for 21 yards. Daylen Farrow recorded 18 yards on four carries. Tanner Stutler chipped in with 17 yards on two carries. Tanner Stutler completed seven of 16 passes for 124 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Brody Belt scored on a 17 yard run in the closing minute to give Henderson County a 41-34 lead over McCracken County and the defense recorded a game ending sack to ensure the upset victory on the road. Henderson County recorded 23 first downs and 344 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized 10 times for 117 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. McCracken County recorded 24 first downs and 385 yards of total offense. The Mustangs were penalized 11 times for 125 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Jack Dalton led Henderson County’s ground game with 137 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries. Brody Belt carried the ball 12 times for 79 yards and a touchdown. Kingston Shidler recorded 24 yards on 10 carries. Brody Belt completed six of 12 passes for 98 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Avant Baxter caught four passes for 69 yards and a touchdown. Hezekiah Harris added two receptions for 29 yards. Myron Wright led the defense with 10 tackles. Christian Haygan, Jack Ryan Reusch, and Zarian Rideout were close behind as each recorded nine tackles. Avant Baxter, Jack Dalton, and Anzerion Marigny each recorded an interception.

Landon Newman led the McCracken County ground game with 96 yards on 19 carries. Maddox O’Neal carried the ball 12 times for 33 yards with one touchdown. Dawson Hayden recorded 20 yards on four carries. Maddox O’Neal completed completed 14 of 31 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions. Jakari Matchem caught six passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Jude Lanier added five receptions for 57 yards. Landon Newman added one reception for 43 yards. Reed Brookshire recorded three receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown. Reed Brookshire led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles. Lukas Hoffman added five solo and three assisted tackles. Kane Rose recorded two solo and six assisted tackles. Max Sturm chipped in with one solo and five assisted tackles. Frederick Douglass defeated Bryan Station by the score of 42-23. Frederick Douglass recorded 16 first downs and 316 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized five times for 48 yards. Bryan Station recorded 15 first downs and 230 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized eight times for 55 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Dakari Talbert led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 123 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. Jeremiah Turner carried the ball 14 times for 76 yards and a touchdown. Jayden Guzman completed nine of 15 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Terry Cayson caught three passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. Dakari Talbert added two receptions for 29 yards. Kane Pointer recorded two receptions for 15 yards. DeAndre Clay added one reception for 14 yards. TJ Stewart caught a 10 yard touchdown reception. Jeremiah Turner returned two punts for 47 yards with a long return of 44 yards and returned two kickoffs for 57 yards with a long return of 34 yards. Demond Green led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Thurman Wade added five solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards. Lamonte Brown recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards. Jeremiah Brown and Keenan Banther also recorded three solo and two assisted tackles. Kane Pointer chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles. Toby Robinson added two solo and one assisted tackles and scored on a 42 yard interception return. E. Marshall also intercepted a pass.

Kerwin Montgomery led Bryan Station’s ground game with 60 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Avery Johnson carried the ball 10 times for 26 yards. Raymond Young recorded 23 yards on five carries. Jordan Haskins carried the ball 11 times for 20 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Haskins completed 11 of 28 passes for 110 yards with one interception. Kamani Barbour threw one pass that was intercepted. Brayden Wilson caught four passes for 49 yards. Kamani Barbour added three receptions for 42 yards. S. Williams returned one kickoff for 85 yards and a touchdown. Kamani Barbour returned two kickoffs for 30 yards with a long return of 20 yards. Kaiden Simpson returned three kickoffs for 38 yards with a long return of 15 yards. Jordan Haskins returned one kickoff for 17 yards. Raymond Young led the defense with six solo and six assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Alaji Bojang added seven solo and two assisted tackles. S. Williams recorded five solo and one assisted tackles. Freddie Canute chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss. Ethan Thomas added three solo and two assisted tackles. Joel Ndayisaba recorded two solom and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.

Scott County defeated Cooper by the score of 55-34. Scott County’s potent Wing-T offense produced as expected (296 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns) but Charlie Ellison piloted the offense flawlessly and constantly burned the Cooper defense on play action passes accounting for 308 yards and four touchdowns through the air. Scott County recorded 21 first downs and 604 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized seven times for 60 yards and had a pass intercepted. Cooper recorded 16 first downs and 315 yards of total offense. The Jaguars were penalized three times for 20 yards.

Timmy Emongo led the Scott County ground game with 124 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries. Skyler Way carried the ball 24 times for 117 yards. Jayden Garrett recorded 44 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Charlie Ellison completed nine of 10 passes for 308 yards and four touchdowns. Red Owens caught five passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns. Keller Furnish added two receptions for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Timmy Emongo recorded two catches for 58 yards. Timmy Emongo returned one kickoff for 17 yards. Red Owens returned one kickoff for 13 yards. Markel Moses led the defense with six solo tackles. Keller Furnish added five solo and one assisted tackles. Carlos Fugate recorded four solo and two assisted tackles. Eli Faris chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles.

Keagan Maher led Cooper’s ground game with 70 yards on 14 carries. Cam O’Hara completed 18 of 28 passes for 265 yards and four touchdowns. Ryker Campbell caught five passes for 124 yards and a touchdown. Corey Freihofer added five receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Drew Hartman recorded four receptions for 35 yards. Gavistin Martin chipped in with three catches for 26 yards and a touchdown. Ryker Campbell returned three kickoffs for 54 yards with a long return of 30 yards. Gavistin Martin returned one kickoff for 20 yards. Jordi Adombe and Xavier Barbour each returned one kickoff for eight and seven yards respectively. Ryker Campbell led the defense with 11 solo and one assisted tackles. Christian Inabnit added seven solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Dax Bolen recorded six solo and six assisted tackles. Jaymauri Duncan chipped in with four solo and three assisted tackles.

Lexington Christian Academy raced out to a 28-0 lead on their way to a 51-21 victory over Monroe County. Lexington Christian Academy recorded 24 first downs and 423 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized three times for 20 yards and lost a fumble. Monroe County recorded 12 first downs and 238 yards of total offense. They were penalized six times for 98 yards and lost a fumble.

Daven Hood led LCA’s ground game with 93 yards on six carries. Bennett Gudalis carried the ball six times for 31 yards and two touchdowns. Sam Pearson recorded 30 yards on four carries. Nash Whalen chipped in with 20 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Conrad Hart also scored a touchdown on the ground. Nash Whalen completed 16 of 24 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns. Bryce Blackerby completed two of three passes for 50 yards and a touchdown. Sam Pearson completed his only pass for six yards. Tyler King caught seven passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns. Sam Pearson added three receptions for 19 yards. Dawson Farmer caught two passes for 22 yards. Conrad hart added two receptions for 20 yards. John Simon Bertram caught a 46 yard touchdown reception. Tyler King returned one punt for nine yards. Harrison Samford returned one kickoff for 24 yards. Dean Hester was six of six on extra point conversions, added a 25 yard field goal, and kicked off eight times for a 54.9 average with three touch backs. Thomas Sizemore and John Seigler each recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and Seigler recovered a fumble. Conrad Hart added three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Collin Hensley recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss. Allen Cox also recorded two solo and one assisted tackles.

Branson Williams led Monroe County’s ground game with 77 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. Brayden Baxter carried the ball 13 times for 69 yards and a touchdown. Reece Bartley recorded 30 yards on five carries. Branson Williams completed five of 10 passes for 63 yards. Brison Nuckols caught two passes for 42 yards. Brayden Baxter added two receptions for 15 yards. Levi Miller caught one pass for six yards. Reece Bartley returned two kickoffs for 68 yards. Griffin Spears returned two kickoffs for 38 yards with a long return of 26 yards. Brayden Baxter led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles. Reece Bartley added six solo tackles. Bullitt East defeated North Hardin by the score of 28-21. Bullitt East raced out to a 20-0 halftime lead but North Hardin scored 21 unanswered points in the third quarter to take a 21-20 lead after three quarters. Bullitt East scored a touchdown and added a two point conversion run to earn the victory. Bullitt East recorded 330 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted. North Hardin recorded 311 yards of total offense, lost a fumble. And had a pass intercepted.

Cole Fackler carried the ball 25 times for 116 yards and two touchdowns to lead Bullitt East’s ground attack. Jayquan Crawford carried the ball 14 times for 32 yards and a touchdown. Cole Cornell added 28 yards on six carries. Cole Cornell completed 11 of 21 passes for 154 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Evan Butler caught three passes for 67 yards. Jack Pope added four catches for 46 yards and a touchdown. BJ Jewell recorded two catches for 31 yards. Christian Martinez chipped in with two catches for 10 yards. Tyler O’Bryan led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles. Carmen Covyeon added three solo and four assisted tackles. Evan Clan recorded two solo and three assisted tackles. Brady Weihe added three solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Connor Heun recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.

Jakylin Kirkland led North Hardin’s ground game with 133 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Zayden Winfield carried the ball four times for 12 yards. LhaMoriya Beard carried the ball six times for four yards. Jakylin Kirkland completed 13 of 33 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Alexander Barkley caught two passes for 52 yards and a touchdown. Phillip Bostic added four receptions for 50 yards. Ronald Lunz recorded four catches for 28 yards. Shamer Whitfield chipped in with two catches for 20 yards. Zayden Winfield added one reception for 12 yards. Josiah Hope led the defense with 15 solo and four assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Joseph Whaley added six solo and nine assisted tackles. Xavier Cruz recorded seven solo tackles. Christian Lee and Cohan Campbell each recorded six solo and one assisted tackles. Hopkinsville defeated Daviess County bye the score of 50-20 to advance in the playoffs. Hopkinsville recorded 446 yards of total offense, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. Daviess County recorded 361 yards and had three passes intercepted.

James Bradley led Hopkinsville’s ground game with 223 yards and five touchdowns on 20 carries. Jeremiah Smith carried the ball three times for 16 yards and a touchdown. Aiden Jesse caught two passes for 70 yards. Tremayne Clay added two receptions for 52 yards. Keyshun Neal recorded two receptions for 45 yards. Kyrien Cannon caught one pass for 20 yards. Tremeyne Clay returned a kickoff 55 yards for a touchdown. John Morton and Foster Jackson led the defense with four solo and four assisted tackles each. DeAndre Watkins added five solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Jordan Catlett recorded four solo and three assisted tackles. Jordan Duerson chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles. Jayon Bass and Tavares Burgess each intercepted a pass.

Ridge Roberts led Daviess County’s ground game with 47 yards on 15 carries. Garrison Barker carried the ball seven times for 19 yards. Garrison Barker completed 21 of 38 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions. Jace Hunt caught 12 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns. Treyson McRath added four receptions for 53 yards. Hunter Corbin recorded three receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown. Hunter Corbin led the defense with eight solo and nine assisted tackles. Parker Higginbotham added four solo and 10 assisted tackles. Josh Coffey recorded three solo and nine assisted tackles. Jaxx Hendricks chipped in with three solo and five assisted tackles.
