Olivia Tierney.

 

Great Crossing defeated Frankfort by the score of 64-57.  There were six ties and five lead changes in this game.  Great Crossing shot 32.1% from the field including one of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Warhawks connected on 27 of 33 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 20 Frankfort turnovers.  Frankfort shot 39.2% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Panthers connected on 13 of 24 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored eight points off 17 Great Crossing turnovers. 

 

Raegan Barrett led Great Crossing with 19 points including seven of seven free throws, and six rebounds.  Olivia Tierney added 16 points, four rebounds, and three steals.  Timothi Williams recorded 13 points including seven of nine free throws, three rebounds, and three steals.

 

Rhealee Ellis led Frankfort with 21 points including two three point baskets, five of nine free throws, two rebounds, and three steals.  Jamaya Chenault added 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Frederick Douglass captured a 57-54 overtime decision and the district title over Henry Clay tonight.  This was a game of runs as Frederick Douglass led 34-22 early in the third quarter but Henry Clay finished the third quarter on a 20-4 run to take a 42-38 lead after three quarters.  The score was tied 51-51 at the end of regulation and Frederick Douglass outscored Henry Clay 6-3 in overtime for the win.  There were two lead changes and three ties in the game.  Frederick Douglass shot 39.6% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line.  The Broncos connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 21 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 42.2% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 18 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

 

Kai Simpson led Frederick Douglass with 13 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Armelo Boone added 13 points including two three point baskets.  6-3 So. Leighton Harris recorded nine points including two three point baskets.  Tyson Barrett pulled down nine rebounds.

Tess Nelson added seven points, three rebounds, and five assists.  Olivia Cathers added six points and seven rebounds.  Savannah Simpson chipped in with four points and seven rebounds.  Catherine Jacobs added six points on two three point baskets, two assists, and two steals.

 

Maddie Kauffman led Tates Creek with 16 points including three three point baskets and five of six free throws.  5-6 So. Ashton Harris added 12 points and six rebounds.  Joyce Mukalamusi recorded 12 points including eight of 11 free throws.  Jada Bell chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.
