Scott County held on to withstand a late charge by Lafayette to capture a 42-38 victory in a game that was called with 3:24 left in the game due to lightning.  There was little celebration on a somber Scott County sideline as they lost one of their best players Grayson Miller a receiver/safety who had committed to Michigan State early in the game with an ankle injury.  Miller will reportedly need surgery and will be lost for the year.  Scott County recorded 21 first downs and 407 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized 11 times for 126 yards and lost two fumbles.  Lafayette recorded 23 first downs and 396 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized six times for 50 yards.

Keith Guy led Scott County’s ground game with 141 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Theo Price carried the ball 10 times for 80 yards and a touchdown.  Jacob Burton added 39 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.  Clay McKee completed four of four passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns.  Clark Griffith caught two passes for 50 yards and two touchdowns.  K. Hamilton led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Zack Barber added three solo and five assisted tackles.  Dylan Smith recorded three solo and four assisted tackles.

Walker Wood led Lafayette’s ground attack with 87 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.  Malik Robinson carried the ball 14 times for 85 yards and a touchdown.  Walker Wood completed 10 of 17 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns.  Lucky Jackson caught five passes for 167 yards including touchdown receptions of 90, 35, and 5 yards.  Devon Quincy led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles.  Mason Alstatt added five solo and one assisted tackles.
