Owensboro Catholic held on to earn a 41-40 victory over Beechwood. Beechwood trailed 41-27 with under four minutes left in the game. Emmett Queen scored on a seven yard run to pull Beechwood to within seven; 41-34. Beechwood had one last opportunity with less than a minute to go 83 yards away from the end zone and marched down the field and aided by two pass interference calls in a row to put the Tigers deep in Owensboro Catholic territory. There was no time on the clock and the ball was on the Owensboro Catholic 5 and Beechwood had their final chance on one untimed play. Queen threw a five yard touchdown [ass to Brody Aylor. Beechwood made the decision to go for the win instead of the kick for the tie. Queen’s pass to the end zone was incomplete and Owensboro Catholic advances to the championship game.
