Cooper coach Chris Prohaska started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Haylee Noel, 5-10 Jr. Alivia Scott, 5-10 Jr. Brinkli Rankin, 5-7 Sr. Lyric Hooper, and 5-9 Sr. Addyson Brissey. Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-10 Sr. Brianna Wilkins, 5-7 So. Tahri Ralston, 5-10 Sr. Emma Zutterman, 5-4 Jr. Amirah “Tootie” Jordan, and 5-8 So. Riley Gilvin.

Cooper outscored Sacred Heart 10-2 down the stretch to earn a 65-62 victory over Sacred Heart tonight. There were eight lead changes and seven ties in this game. Sacred Heart led 28-20 in the second half and led the Lady Jaguars 48-46 after three quarters extending the margin to 60-55 late before Cooper rallied for the victory. Cooper shot 43.6% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Jaguars connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Sacred Heart turnovers. Sacred Heart shot 41.4% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc. The Valkyries connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored right points off 15 Cooper turnovers.

Addyson Brissey led Cooper with 21 points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Sacred Heart did a good job defending Haylee Noel limiting her to eight of 20 from the field but she still recorded 18 points, pulled down 13 rebounds, dished out to assists, and recorded two steals. Alivia Scott recorded 11 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Brinkli Rankin chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and three rebounds.

Brianna Wilkins led Sacred Heart with 24 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and two assists. “Tootie” Jordan added 24 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Emma Zutterman recorded six points, 12 rebounds, and three steals.
