Owensboro Catholic trailed 19-13 after three quarters but Owensboro Catholic fueled by two touchdown runs by Miles Edge defeated Somerset by the score of 27-19. Somerset had one last opportunity but Nick Sims intercepted a pass in the closing seconds to ensure the victory. Owensboro Catholic recorded 367 yards of total offense and lost a fumble. Somerset recorded 316 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Miles Edge led Owensboro Catholic’s ground game with 153 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries. Dremail Carothers carried the ball five times for 33 yards. Dremail Carothers completed 17 of 29 passes for 178 yards and one touchdown. Xavier Maddox caught five passes for 73 yards. Cameron Woodward added three receptions for 46 yards. Miles Edge recorded three receptions for 21 yards. Luke Thomas chipped in with two receptions for 14 yards. Hudson Ebelhar also recorded two receptions for 14 yards. Jude Evans caught two passes for 10 yards and a touchdown. Miles Edge led the defense with three solo and 13 assisted tackles. Jude Evans added one solo and 13 assisted tackles. Nick Sims recorded four solo and six assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Noah Grant chipped in with five solo and four assisted tackles. Caden Conkwright added four solo and four assisted tackles. Jude Cecil intercepted a pass.

Kris Hughes led Somerset’s ground game with 125 yards and one touchdown on 34 carries. Corban Cimala carried the ball eight times for 37 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Wooldridge recorded 32 yards on two carries. Kris Hughes completed 14 of 23 passes for 122 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Alex Decker caught four passes for 67 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Wooldridge added eight receptions for 42 yards. Jon Reynolds led the defense with seven solo and six assisted tackles. Andrew Lawson added five solo and five assisted tackles. Xavier Wooldridge recorded six solo and two assisted tackles. Corban Cimala chipped in with two solo and six assisted tackles. Drew Anderson added five solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Austyn Lawless recorded three solo and three assisted tackles. Zac Carter also recorded three solo and three assisted tackles.
